Respectfully sir, if you're going to be brought down by all the "feels" maybe you weren't cut out for combat. Nothing to be ashamed of, the military needs analysts just as much as grunts.
Yes, the situation sucks- No- Well-
No, I never thought it was "sad." Dr. Halsey did what had to be done for the good of us all.
People die in war, that's something you're going to have to get used to if we're going to work together, sir.
...No, I don't think I need a "girlfriend to go shopping with" or any of that other ridiculous stuff.
This is why Chief always dealt with the civilians.

[In her year here, she knows.
Noooot commenting on Halsey. Those are shaky grounds for her.]

[ Do you feel that smirk, Daisy? Do you?
Well there's always one sibling who has problems with mama, isn't there? ]
no subject
[Sob. She does.]

[ Mama loves us! All these rebellious teenagers. ]

[Teasing right back. As for Daisy? She's always happy to see more of her own.]
How've you been?

[ Hey, any Spartan still alive was good in her book. There were far to few of them left. ]
Same old same old, you know how it is. Break a couple bones. Rupture a couple organs. Complete the mission. All in a day's work.

[And a mermaid. Being in a mildly military place at best adapts you rather quickly to the situation.]
We've got missions like these over here -- Cultists are the Covenant substitute. Shame most of these missions help the Malnosso.
no subject
[ Considering all the weird crap they've seen? A mermaid wouldn't be too shocking to be honest. ]
Malnosso? You're being pressed into service outside the UNSC? [ Let's just not mention the 'you're being pressed into the service even though you're dead?' part. ]
no subject
[Too easy. Save for wrecking her friend's nerves every time she goes to battle.]
We take the points for our benefit, but we're all pressed outside of our respective services in here. Not that we let them have it easy.
[Not by a long shot.]

[ Another thing Kelly just couldn't understand. They were so jumpy. ]
"Points?" It some kind of game? Sounds like a shitty situation. Then again, these "muns" love those.

[Something Daisy has been slowly learning. Somewhat.]
Missions are voluntary. You can sign up for any if you wish to get the points and trade them for something where you're from. Drafts aren't.
[Both cases in which the Spartan still wants to come. A desire to protect her teammates, and bloodlust. Third Party Cultists earn as much love from a SPARTAN-II as the Covenant.]

[ You'll have to excuse Kelly, the closest she's come to civilian interaction is Dr. Halsey. And that hardly counts. ]
Sounds familiar enough. Still, figure having a good team at your back couldn't hurt, huh?
[ It's the way they were brought up. The best of the best of the best. Oh wait'll you meet the Forerunner leftovers, Daisy. The Covenant look like pansies next to them. But at least the Sentinels don't jabber on about the Great Journey all the time. ]

On the matters of civilians, she does understand Kelly. While she had made a lot of civilian friends Luceti, not all of them are prepared for war. One of her close friends is a pacifist... When nobody is immune to the drafts.]
I have good friends there. But I wouldn't object towards another Spartan. It's been a while.
[One year and a half.]

Identify yourself, Spartan. [ The fact that she doesn't know who you are is already weird enough. It isn't as if there was a whole bunch of them. ]

[Tex paused long enough to snort a bit at the command.]
Agent Texas of Project Freelancer, UNSC Secret Research and Development Division under project director Leonard Church.
I'm Black Ops, essentially. Hell, the oversight committee probably labeled the project as gone rogue when the Alpha went missing. I'd love to see the file they have on me.

[ Whoever this person was they sure didn't act like a Spartan. Too undisciplined. The story made sense though. ONI was always pulling things like that. Hell, the Spartans' origins were a dirty little secret after all.]
Project Freelancer, huh? So they managed to get the MJOLNIR working for baselines?
no subject
[That's what hanging around guys like Caboose and Griff will do to you.]
...You're joking, right? MJOLNIR is mass produced. Hell, the only reason I'm in this model and not another more advanced one is because this one was the most compatible with optic camouflage, and AI housing. Every Freelancer and sim-trooper has at least Mark IV armor.
I imported this accout just for this post
HAY STRANGER. 8D
[ A slight smile behind the visor. ] I don't think many people could live up to that standard. Hello, Empress. It's been awhile.

Indeed, so they can continue wasting their time fretting over places to send us.

Not as if mine has that much time to begin with.
if you're looking for a place for her, i'm having a good time in srwug_alpha, btw
But i'd be glad to go shopping with you, if that's what your mun wants.
On LJ? :)
It's what he wants. I don't see the point. I'm in my armour most of the time. What do I need clothes for?
Yep, srwug-alpha-rp.livejournal.com
I shall check it out.
Yay. I've got a Battletech character I think she'd get along with.
Sounds fun to me. ^^
[ A pause, then she points to her serial number stenciled in (not that big) block letters across her chest. ] My serial number is right here.

[ Reaching up, she hits the stud, unsealing the helmet with a hiss and sliding it off. ] Is that better?
