Muse is a little upset about the circumstances of his voice revival
Upset? Me? Why would I be upset?
Seems to me a bar's as good a place as any to make important decisions about whose life you're gonna jerk around for the foreseeable future.
[There may be just a little sarcasm here. Pretty pronounced, but with a smooth finish. Like the stuff responsible for bringing his voice back.]
Terrible decision-making skills aside though, at least you managed to come up with a good name. And look at that, spelled right and everything. I'd buy you another to congratulate ya, but I'm not in any hurry to see who that makes you pick up.

onetwoa handful of lies, and suddenly people don't believe you. What's the universe coming to?]Look, Kima, honest. Wasn't me this time.
I mean, if I asked for it, don't you think I'd have had the kid leave the tab open?
no subject
[Hey at least she's asking and not shooting, there's that ok?]
No, that would mean you could afford a round for me.
no subject
[Which would have only been marginally worse than when Stith found him. Surprise, surprise.]
I meant for me. Bein' dead's thirsty work.
[Beat]
...but I guess you and the kid deserve a couple, considering everything you managed to do.
And I mean that as in one for each of you. And not from the top shelf, either.
[He's dead, not crazy, dammit.]
no subject
[Ok maybe she softened a bit, maybe..a bit.]
So they are bringing you back after all that with the Drej? About that, not like there was exactly time to say it then but, thanks. You really came through for all of us in the end.
no subject
[He's pretty bad at feigning injury, but what the hell, why not. He can tell she's softened up a bit, might as well be friendly.]
Yeah, he is. And don't thank me, thank that boyfriend of yours. You know, I think that idealist nonsense might be contagious.
no subject
[So maybe she;ll even have a seat next to him]
Kale, he'd be glad to see you too, but I don't see him often here. He admired you, you know. Aside from the whole trying to kill us and selling out the human race bit.
no subject
But the selling out the human race bit's accurate. They don't make a card for that, do they?
no subject
I don't think they do, but I am betting given what you did a simple I'm sorry would make it even.
no subject
[He's teasing though. Actually kind of sorry you wound up getting shot. Apparently Preed's got a funny way of interpreting the english language and thinks "stop" means "kill."]
Yeah, well. I am. And I'm pretty sure the kid knows it. If he doesn't, you better examine that head of his.
no subject
[She's sorry too, she liked him, always respected him and maybe even harbored something of a crush. But, yeah you don't crush on the Captain, it's bad form.]
I think giving your life for something makes it pretty clear. So...you heard what he named it, right?
no subject
doesused to do with any amount of frequency. Or using Preed as a role model. Or Stith, really.]I'd rather you didn't remind me. You'd think a scientist's kid would come up with something a little more appropriate.
And if you're that desperate for somethin' to do, you could always talk your handler into finding you a game. Preferably a good one, some of these places are worse than back home used to be.
no subject
[See? Simple. And Dear lord do not tell her it's ok to like the Captain. That would lead to complications.]
I talked him into formally declaring it Earth II, but he insists on calling it Bob.
no subject
[He's got mixed feelings about the last bit, too. No ship, and no gun? Place to live's nice, but being unarmed definitely isn't]
Name's as good as any, I guess. Definitely better than "Bob."
no subject
[She'll hang on to her gun thanks, too many times where she's needed it to give it up, willingly anyway.]
So no idea where you're headed?
no subject
[She could. Korso's problem is you show up with whatever you had on you at the time, and he'd lost his pistol in the Titan.]
But he's changed his mind before, so I won't know 'til I get there.
and 3rd time in 2 days I've heard about that place!
[Since she's been keeping her stuff on her that's a good bet.]
Yeah, I am all too aware of mind changers.
Friends are running it, and I figure it might be a good place to stick Korso!
Somethin' about being in between life and death and...look, this is why I didn't bother trying to make sense of it. Give me a ship and I can figure out everything I need to know in under an hour, but this stuff's outta my league.
