the 223rd anniversary of the storming of the Bastille and games

Finally, finally you have once more decided to pay attention to me.

Now, I appreciate the change of scenery, but I do not think this current place is much better. The space ship was very confining, but this city does not have a sex shop. Et no one can speak en Français. C'est une problème, mon amie. Une problème that we must rectify.

As for the subject of my birthday, well of course it is not my real birthday. I do not remember the exact date that I came into creation, as I was busy being born at the time. Oui, the forth of October would also be a good day for it to be on, but aaa, the forteenth of July is simply more iconic, non? It is a shame you are not here to celebrate the festivities avec moi, or with my people, but I appreciate the fact you are celebrating all the same. It warms my heart to see you telling so many people what day it is, though as much as they should, I suspect most of them do not care as much as you do. (Or at all.) It is très mignon to see you explain the events of that day, and the events leading up to that day. I juste do not wish to see you disappointed when people seem.... Aaa, disinterested.

If you want to present me with a truly memorable gift, perhaps you will actually read more on La Belle Époque and more recent events concerning my history. I know that you find the 17th century far more fascinating than, donc, my current events, but you must be well rounded if you are to be a true Francophile. Besides, with that great school you are going to, you will want some knowledge to impress your peers with, ouais? And there are only so many books you can purchase on mon Louis, mon Roi-Soliel.

And do not think they will not be impressed. With knowledge of me, anyone would. After all, it is hard to apathetic about a country as great as La France, tu sais. Unless you are a surly, angry, lonely little nation person that no one else likes.

i loved it ;; the weather was beautiful and i got to meet a french friend of mine from twitter

Eh bien, bon anniversaire, Papa ! [ a broad grin. she knew he would understand if she explained her situation. what a careless and stupid mundane she has! ] You simply must tell me about everything that happened since I was unable to witness it for myself.

That's right. She was most disappointed when she learned that your mundane left your house a while ago since she was looking forward to meeting her as well, but I am certain that they will have other opportunities to see one another, and anyway, she still seems to be enjoying her time at your house despite that. I do think that she needs to be less shy, though. Would you believe that she has yet to meet a single one of your people outside of shops after all this time? [ tsk. ]

It's just that my house is so far from everybody else. You know that! [ she pouts. ] Otherwise I would be at your house all the time. I do miss you, though, so I will have to try.

no, i tend to avoid them since i almost never drink alcohol, but i did pass a few!

[ the faintest pink tinges her cheeks with pride and then, the moment he asks about the tour de france, with embarrassment. ]

I must be either the neediest or the lamest muse in the world, because my mundane's locked me away for so long that I never get to see anybody or anything even more, let alone bicycle tournaments or eyebrows celebrating your birthday. [ she is especially upset about that last one even though she knows that england did not celebrate bastille day out of the kindness of his heart. ] Sometimes I wonder whether she will ever take me seriously like she promised.

Right! Who says they have to meet at your place in a world as big as this one?

M-marry?! [ it's okay, papa. everybody already knows that you're an old fart anyway. ] I don't think she will find somebody like that in two weeks, Papa, even if she did eventually stop insisting that going to all of those places alone would be silly.

D'you think my boss would even allow that?
