On birthdays and RP topics
We both know what day it is, ma belle. It is a pity you did not see the parade... and a pity you will not see the Tower lit up with thousands of lights, or the fireworks display. This will be Monsieur Hollande's first Bastille Day, alors, it will be an interesting day all around, non?
And then of course I will have a private party at my house. I am not sure any of the others will come, mais, there is hope yet. Yes, I invited everyone.
...
Merci beaucoup, ma chérie. I will be sure to have a wonderful anniversaire!
...
Do not be upset, ma pêche! What I want for my birthday is your happiness. If you are having problems with tags, leave them. Your friends will wait, if they care about playing with us. I will not have you moping on my birthday, chère.
And I know it is a shame we cannot celebrate my birthday in my only game, mais... I am not sure anyone on the island would come, either. Ah la la, it does not matter. What matters is that I am having a good day, non? And maybe when it becomes my birthday in Arcanarum, I will be able to celebrate then. Even if only one person comes, it will be worth it.
Either way, there will be a celebration. So do not fret. Now, I must be off! I have a dinner to attend.

I am sure even the angry little Englishman will show.
1/2
Speaking of which... joyeux anniversaire, autre moi. [And he gives his other self a kiss on each cheek.]
2/2
[He can't help the snort of laughter that comes out.] There is no way he will not show up, simply to spite me! You know him just as well as I do.

Aaaa-- [ A smile cuts into his cheek at the gesture and he laughs. ] Merci beaucoup, and it is not self-serving unless you wish it to be so. You are merely wishing your dearest friend une joyeux anniversaire, non?
C'est pas vrai. Je suis sûr that Angleterre wishes to celebrate this very special day, et il va prétendre être râleur, mais nous savons la vérité.
no subject
My dearest friend, indeed. And I do hope you have un très joyeux anniversaire, as I am.
You are right. I am sure he will come.
this icon isn't wishful thinking or anything shut up
I shall, mon ami, and I shall hope that Angleterre wishes you well. There have already been such grand celebrations in London, so I am sure it will not be long before he does.

Happy birthday Frances! I made this for you!
[So she had help. Thought counts?]
no subject
Are you coming to my birthday party tonight, petite?
no subject
[She handed it over and threw one tiny arm around Francis' neck.]
I don't know. I have to ask Danny.
no subject
Mm, it will be a shame if you don't. You can tell him I have food options just for him, if that is an issue.
[He's quick to pluck off the Eiffel tower, snap it in two, and offer the spire portion to Genny, if she wants it. He gets the base because he's the birthday boy.]
no subject
He's just cranky sometimes.
[She grins and takes it with a shy smile, nibbling on it.]
Thank you.
no subject
Is... Your mundane alright?
no subject
Ah, oui, she is just... overworked, I am sad to say.
no subject
Tell her to get some rest.
no subject
I will tell her this. Now, whether she will listen to me, that is a different matter.

[He reaches up to pat Ludwig's shoulder, and hold his hand there for a moment.]
I promise we will discuss business tomorrow. Mais, for now, pretend we have no business! This is supposed to be a day of celebration.
no subject
[He does not comment on being told he is too tense. Again. But he inwardly counts the seconds that hand remains on his shoulder. It's important, okay?!]
At least your celebrations are more tasteful than Americas. [Worlds between them. WORLDS! And he's glancing away a little.] The parade was nicely done.

I will do my best to have one, mon cher! Mais, I am sure it would be much more terrible birthday if you would come to the party tonight.

Having just spent the best part of a fortnight attending the birthday parties of people I used to own, I'm afraid the prospect of further social interaction doesn't sound like a particularly appealing one.
no subject
And I used to own, do not forget this. And it will be a small gathering, non? It should not be so straining. [Leans in, a small smile.] And, of course, there will be liquor...
no subject
[july is a stupid month.]
1/2
... you... you forgot?
2/2
How could you forget, Angleterre?!
Re: 2/2
no subject
Then why did you lie, Angleterre?!
no subject
[Scowling.] Why does it matter?
no subject
Because this is my big day! You don't want to ruin my big day, do you?
no subject
For that matter, why should I be nice to you? What do I care about your stupid holiday?
no subject
Of... of course. [A sniffle, as the tears start anew.] What you care about my happiness, or the history we have shared? Why should you care about the nation across la Manche, across Le Tunnel? Why should Why should you be nice to someone who raised you, all those years ago!
[Oh, and now he's blubbering, good going England. :|]
no subject
I seem to remember hundreds of years of war more clearly than I do my childhood.
[A glance back; quickly, as if he's trying to be sneaky about it so that France won't notice. His scowl is very noticeably lessened.]
no subject
omg hi ;u; <3
I did, I did! What sort of nation do you think I am, chérie? [... okay, maybe he had a liiiittle too much to drink last night. But he's fine today!]
gosh hullo ////// <3
/loves all over >w< <3
[... it's not like, as a nation, he can really die, but that is a different matter.]
It is all thanks to you that I am still standing, Jeanne. [And she can still make him feel like the teenager he was back then. His cheeks have gotten a bit pink, even as he grasps her hands and reciprocates the gesture.]
alsdjf u//////u
[ her smile softens, then, leaning up on her toes to kiss his cheek. ] Not all thanks to me. There are many brave men and women who love you and have fought for you, I'm certain.

no subject
Ah, merci beaucoup, mon tomate! [And he leaves a kiss of greeting and thanks on each cheek.]
no subject
How have you been? It's been so long!

[He was away. It's rare that his Mun takes him out nowadays given circumstances, but it's fine with him, especially when he's allowed to wander out during special occasions like France's birthday.]
no subject
To answer your question, I have been well. And I hope it has been the same for you, Espagne?
no subject
[He smiles back just as gently, shrugging easily.] Better than some, yes. I haven't been busy, but that's all right. I get to see Francia on his birthday so it's good.
