...Reserved at towerofanimus; 15 year old not-such-a-puppet Sasori thinks it's a rotten deal
I had never thought you stupid, but it seems I’d have to reconsider. Providing me an opportunity to exercise my creativity is appreciated, but to do so under somebody else’s rules? And in a collar, no less. [ Oh would you look at those cold, cold eyes…? ]
What have I told you about pulling all the strings?
I refuse to be somebody else’s puppet. [ And that right there is most definitely a flash of anger. ]

[And he agrees, because being controlled by someone else, is not something he prefers.]
It would seem the role of puppet master will be taken away from you.

Even if I did disregard the collar, its presence is a reminder that someone else has control.
But as long as it doesn't interfere with my work, I should be able to tolerate it. If it does interfere, though... [ He won't go into detail, but it just-- won't be pleasant? ]

Would you be able to counter effectively? If your captors were stupid or weak, they wouldn’t have been successful in their kidnapping.
...tell me you slept some D:
But news of experience with a collar at the facility makes him regard the other with new-found interest. ]
Hm? What was the collar used for at the facility?
[ Sasori knows this, and there's a slight dip in his brows. He is used to doing the kidnapping, not the other way around. ]
Perhaps. A termite can bring down a tower... from the inside. [ Sasori disliked termites. They ate at his puppets and died in them after ingesting the poison. Yet he admired their perseverance. ] It is never too late to not give up.
[ Though, really, not knowing bothered him quite a bit. ]
[ooc: lmao sorry for the edits... all the wrong grammar |: ]
what is this sleep that you speak of
[Don’t expect Gaara to be so forthcoming at Animus. Enjoy this while you can.]
Of course, we must persevere. We will adapt, or we will die. [He frowns.] Still… it is frustrating to be kept away from the village for so long.
[Sasori has already cut his ties to Suna, but Gaara can’t do that. Not while he is still Kazekage.]
(OOC: Ahhhhhhh your atrocious grammar offends me!! …Just kidding.)

...He would also like to take this moment to remind his mun that they haven't been accepted yet and to please not jump the gun there. Ahem. ]
Mm. [ And yet... : ] Adaptation should come relatively easy for shinobi of the Sand.
[ He will never say it out loud, but despite cutting ties with Suna, there was still that part of him that would forever cling to that headband he had earned as a child. It was a past he was trying to let go of, but didn't think it would be possible... yet. ]

[There will probably be horrible times, similar to the facility. Damn it, if only they explained what the colors were used for.
Gaara makes a quiet noise of mild amusement.] The quality of our shinobi demands it.
[Well, don’t tell anybody this, but even the Fifth Kazekage holds a small amount of resentment toward his village. Not everyone, but mainly directed at the council. Having a love-hate relationship with your village is… maybe a natural thing. Or they could just be weird.]

And yes, the colors bother him too. What are they? Why are they sorted and pre-classified into groups upon arrival? ...So many questions. ]
'Quality'... [ Sasori can't help but allow a somewhat amused smirk evolve right then. ] The quality of our shinobi, hm? Of course, we have the lousiest medics in all of creation.
[ Sasori used to think it was natural until the hate got the better of him and he ditched it all in the end. Perhaps they're weird after all?
But blind patriotism was never his thing. ]

[No idea. Maybe they have to take turns making the shitty oatmeal or something.]
My shinobi. [The young Kazekage corrects himself.] You have relinquished your affiliation with the Sand.
For years, our focus was on power. Offensive capabilities were considered top priority in training Suna ninja. [Here, he gets a determined look in his eyes.] However, that will change.
…Assuming I will be able to return to Suna.
[Kind of hard not to strongly support your own country when you are the leader’s son… and the ultimate weapon part, of course.]
