Of course I am! Pokemon bring everyone together, and it's the best way I know to keep the people you care about safe.

It's off of mainland Unova, but it's still a growing city. It's nice, though. Really hilly and peaceful.

...Contests? [For a second, all he can offer is a blank look, and then he connects two and two.] Not really. The closest thing we have are the Musicals, and maybe the movie studios.

Ah, I see. A slight cultural difference then I see. No matter. These musicals? I'd love to hear more about those. Movie studios? [His face lit up. Wallace lived in the lime light.]

Musicals are sort of similar, since you dress your Pokemon up and have them perform in one on stage. PokeStar Studios is where most of the movies are made in Unova, and the trainer gets to act with the Pokemon. I'm not really interested in either, so I've never tried them before.

The Pokemon World Tournament in Driftveil was supposed to be planning to invite all the Champions and Gym Leaders from around the world for a really high-profile tournament, so that's why I was curious...

[God, it's not like he goes seeking out Champions to battle them! He totally doesn't go to Undella Town looking for Cynthia or anything...]

She's the only one I've got. I'd be crazy if I didn't watch out for her... you gotta protect the things important to you for yourself! Same goes for any and all of my friends. I have their backs, and I trust them to have mine too.

I've come pretty far. But not far enough... not just yet. I'll keep going until I finish what I set out to do. If I can't take my sister's Purrloin back from Team Plasma, there won't be any point to any of it.

Two years ago, Team Plasma wanted to split Pokemon and humans up, because they thought Pokemon were better off without us. To do that, they convinced tons of trainers to let their Pokemon go, and stole from the people who didn't...

...One of those was my sister, five years ago. I was a stupid, powerless kid back then, and I couldn't do anything to protect her or her Purrloin.

But-- now they've come back, and they're trying to do the same thing by brute force this time. I'll take her Pokemon back from them once and for all, and I won't forgive anyone who'd put humans or Pokemon through that sort of thing, no matter what...!!

Yes you can. If you rush ahead of things you might miss something important that can help you. You need to think before you act.

But as for Team Plasma they shouldn’t have that right to do what they do. Pokemon and there Trainers should have that choice to be together.

[She gave him a worried but stern look]

You shouldn’t say that about yourself. Some things happen and there nothing we can do about it. I find it shameful that some teams find there actions justifiable, when there not. [She thought of the two teams in her region]

I take it you plan on challenging Team Plasma to get the Pokemon back?

Of course I am!! I've already charged through a few masses of them with some help, and I know I'm getting closer! I have to be!

It's not even about justification at this point... it's about them thinking they have that right to do what they want, even if it hurts others. They don't even care about making it sound good anymore. That's why I have to get him back even more!

[He clenches his jaw and lowers the volume of his voice. High emotion combined with a touchy subject got the better of him there, as it often does.]

Just... even if I don't accomplish anything else on this journey, if I can only take that Purrloin back and see her light up the way she did when she first saw him... then that'll be enough.

Mmh, my mun was worried about that at first too, but then she remembered that people app from movies on the same week they showed, so she decided not to care anymore. As soon as they finish the patch, I'm getting canon-updated.

The Bianca I know is a nice girl, I can tell you that much. You'll both do fine. Waiting can be hard, but it always pays off in the end.

Hey, it means a lot to hear that from you. I raised my own first Pokemon from an egg, but you gave me a Pokedex anyway, even though you were only there for my friend, so I could make myself stronger. That much, I'm grateful for.

((OOC: He actually does mention that part about raising his starter from an egg the first time you battle him! No idea if it'll get changed for the English release, but it's there, anyway. I think only the PC actually gets the choice, whereas Hugh hatched his earlier and the unchosen PC has the third one already in Nimbasa City.))
