[the look of confusion is massive] Miss Potts... Tony Stark is probably pushing forty if I'm not mistaken. He is definitely not seventeen. I only met him properly recently.

Okayyy another time displaced then? Because I'm pretty sure Tony is seventeen and was going to the Tomorrow Academy just a few weeks ago. Or different reality... That I guess could be possible. [Doesn't sound too sure about that but hey weirder stuff has happened]

It must be, because we seem to be talking about almost two completely different fields. Intriguing, the idea of two timelines meeting. Converging, or only briefly connecting..? [gets that lost 'I wish I had a lab right now' expression]

[And Pepper knows that look. Tony gets it a lot.] And you do know the labs are about ten floors down right? [She thinks a moment.]

Which one of us do you think is displaced first of all? [Because ugh she really doesn't like the idea it's her, because that means she's there without Rhodey and Tony. Which can be a REALLY BAD THING!]

[caught! little sheepish smile] Well, to be honest, I would rather it be me than you as it seems you have a solid life going on here.

Still would have to run tests to find out. [She thinks] Well not like you're going to end up telling everyone where the armory is, and pretty sure Tony's there.

Considering Tony's been letting me run through the Tower with an open pass -- it's the monument slash house he's built for himself towering over New York City -- I doubt I will either. [faint smile] If we can find him, I'm up all over it, otherwise... some proper clothing might be in order.

Huh... Right. [Blush] Though this isn't wait... He has a penthouse in the Tower? They have a place over in Manhattan I know that, but... Right hm, clothes first. Sorry.
