On the prospect of a hiatus and stuff.
I don’t know why you’re looking at me like that. It’s not like I care that you’re going to up and aban— sod off for a few weeks. Leave me be, by all means. I’d quite like a few weeks by myself. It’s deserved. Needed.
Yes, maybe it was... nice being able to come out more lately. Parts of the last few months were... or, well, some of it was— was good. Yes, fine. I admit that. The parts that don’t include the embarrassing or annoying situations you placed me in, that is! And it was better than being cooped up, doing nothing. I suppose I should... thank you for that.
But no, I wouldn’t miss that place. Or anyone there! It’s— well... with some exceptions, maybe... most of that place is full of complete prats. And as I've already told you, and have done so countless times: I'm perfectly fine by myself. Just because I’d be alone, doesn't mean I’d be lonely. No, no, I'm better off by myself. I don’t need to be out there, meeting idiots. You've hardly put that much effort into putting me anywhere, anyway. Go on holiday, have your little “needed hiatus”. And yes, fine. Continue it when you back if you need to. I shall be here when it’s over and you feel my “voice” comes a little easier to you. August really isn’t that far away.
And for goodness sake, stop over-thinking every little thing. It’s bordering on idiotic. Honestly.
Oh! Speaking of idiotic. Don’t you have your Driving Theory test next week? Don’t think I haven’t seen you trying to put it off. Do you want to waste all that money? Go and revise! It's important.

[ Ah... Uh, well... ]
Er... On second thought, maybe a break would do you some good, Arthur. It has been raining quite a bit over there lately, huh? Go somewhere warmer for a while!
no subject
[He folds his arms across his chest, giving a nod.]
Yes. It isn't as though I'm not used to the rain, of course, but... well, my mun's going away and there's no harm in following, I suppose.
[He pauses, frowning, and raises a brow at Amelia.]
Do try not to get into too much trouble without me around.
no subject
I always stay out of trouble! As long as I'm not there, I'll be fine. Are you worried about leaving me alone, Arthur?
[ Amelia doesn't mean to laugh, really, but it does strike her as a little funny— and endearing. Sometimes she finds herself surprised that he cares so much about her, even though she's not his Alfred. ]
no subject
[As usual, the hair ruffling earns Amelia a blush and a bit of a glare, and he looks away. Honestly, he finds himself wondering the same thing sometimes. But then Alfred or not, she is still America.]
Well, of course not. Don't get the wrong idea or anything! I'm not worried. It's only... well, you know how the anonymous can be sometimes.
no subject
[ Amelia laughs, but at least stops teasing the older nation so. She shrugs then and takes a deep breath before looking away contemplatively. ]
No, not as much anymore, at least. It's less stressful here! She kind of needs a little R&R than more commotion right now. Like your mun! Where is she going?
no subject
[He huffs, trying and failing to give the very impression of one who couldn't be less interested.]
Well, I can't blame either of you; I know what that place is like... My mun's off to give Greece some needed tourism. It should be nice, I suppose, though much hotter than it is here in England.
[He frowns, a tad worried.]
no subject
Ah, Greece...
[ However, please excuse her while she reminisces dreamily about her one slightly heated encounter with Arthur's version of Greece. She hums softly and her eyes glaze over a little while she thinks about it. Ah, that was another one who was a pretty good kisser. ]
no subject
Yes, Greece. The country, in Europe. Neighbour to Bulgaria and Turkey?
[He rolls his eyes at her, folding his arms across his chest.]
no subject
Yeah, yeah, I know who he is... Bring something back from there for me, will ya? I should go visit him one day soon!
no subject
Really? I'm not sure you'll like it there. And he'll probably just be asleep. He usually is.
[England does relent, however, adding with a momentary glance away from her, his irritated expression dropping ever so slightly:]
I suppose I might bring you back something, though. Only because I'd like to get rid of all those useless Euros before I get back home, of course.
no subject
You're the best!
no subject
W-well- it isn't like I'm doing it for you anything... And don't expect anything extravagant now.
no subject
If you say so!
no subject
[And let's see how long it takes for England to remember him. Timer starts now.]
no subject
No, must have been the wind.
Sorry, Canada. Might have to be a little louder.]
no subject
England.
no subject
Oh, America. Did you say something?
no subject
It's Canada.
no subject
[And it clicks.]
Canada! W-well, of course it is. I knew that. [Cough.] How are you?
no subject
Good. [Do you remember that it was just his birthday too? Hmm...] And you? You look good.
no subject
Yes, quite well. My mun and I shall be going on a holiday break soon.
no subject
Oh? Where?
