Yes 'Mundane', this place does seem promising, but give it some thought before starting on an application.

Even so, I am curious as to what has become of my children. Are they doing their father proud? Their nation?

There's a big difference. Zuko's the only Fire Lord anyone cares about, these days.

My weak and disappointing son who, even after becoming Fire Lord, still had to come to me for his advice? Who gave up on Fire Lord Sozin's dream of greatness, letting down his Grandfather and Great Grandfather as well?

Who let our homeland become as soft and weak as he is?

He built a whole new nation with Avatar Aang. I'd say that's a better legacy to leave behind than anything else.

Humor me. Tell how this new nation came about.

From what I remember, they say it was built around the Fire Nation colonies that refused to be uprooted at the end of the Hundred Year War.

And what did 'Fire Lord' Zuko do?

He and the Avatar built Republic City for all the other nations to share.

So he protected his people's rights, as I told him to do.

Even if he did it in a way I would expect of him.

... Why are you so hard on him if he's your son?

Because ever since he was a little boy he's been nothing but a disappointment. He brought dishonor on himself, and on me.

Zuko's one of the most honourable people I know.

Then perhaps you should ask him how he got his scar.

I don't need to pry into his private life to know that Zuko is a great friend.

If he's the Fire Lord then his duty to his nation comes before any friendship.

I don't presume to know what a Fire Lord should or shouldn't do. All I'm sure of is he's someone the rest of us respect.

And who are "the rest of you"?

Not exactly sure I should be giving you a list of names.
