[Man, he dealt with his fire issues in a very questionable and dangerous way, okay? It's not his fault he's terrible with people. Regardless, he picks up a small, very calm white rabbit.]

His name's Hephaestus.

-The rabbit pulled her attention, at least. She seemed to not so much calm, as re-focus. Her tension was instead focused on the rabbit, and the look on her face was one of fascination.-

[He offered the gentle bunny to her, a smile crawling across his face again.]

Oh... okay... -Gingerly she accepted the fluffy thing, holding it as if it would break at any second.-

[The rabbit actually attempts to snuggle. It looks absolutely contented to be held by someone.]

-It did indeed seem to want more of her petting, timid as it was. And then? Then Hanako seemed to almost... smile.-

He only nuzzles someone like that when he likes them.

Only done it for me before. [He has to wonder if it's the scars that make the rabbit react or a similar temperament...Who knew, but that slight smile was something else.]

[He took the rabbit back and tucked him under one arm. The bunny seemed content there.]
