You've got a lot to do before you get this off the ground. Finding more icons, choosing a canon point...
[There's a small pause.] I'm sure you know my feelings about that...matter. Still, there's not that much I an do about it, now is there?
Though, if possible, I would like to do something about the username.
[ooc: No spoilers in post, miiiight be some in the comments! I'll warn for anything overtly spoilery]

...well I'd just say get used to your pun.

Um, maybe they'll decide to change the username to something more science related? Inspiration can strike at anytime right?

I suppose you're right. I doubt it will happen, though.

Have you ever considered maybe doing something with I dunno, robotics? Instead of cross-species genetics. I mean, it's not as great, [ --but hindsight is 20/20 for this particular superhero. ] --but it might wield more stable results? I dunno.

The method and the research was sound. I simply needed more time.

Dr. Connors, sir, there's just, um... do you remember I asked you about that variable? About how much of the species you were using the genes of would uh, affect the human?
no subject
Again, I needed more time. If I wasn't rushed, the mistake would have been caught in the primate testing. It was...the vaccine wasn't ready for humans. At least, not at that moment.
no subject
Yeah but how are you supposed to correct that mistake? As I said, it seems like that variable could either be random or well, could default to whichever species has stronger genes. And you wouldn't want to cross genes with something weaker than you, Dr. Connors. I dunno. [ Another little hand gesture. ]
I think you should maybe try focusing on something else for, uh, a little bit.

Peter, I have spent my whole life working on cross-species genetics. I'm not going to give up my life's work because of some [pause because how do you describe what happened] some mistake, however grave and dangerous it may have been.

[ He recedes into himself again, looking at the ground instead of at Connors. ] I'm not saying to give up; I don't think you should give up. I don't even think.... I don't think my dad would have wanted you to give up either. But maybe work on something else, I dunno, for a little while.
AND NOW SPOILERS

[ Which is sort of weird for him to offer, but Peter's found grudges haven't gotten him in the best situations lately, so he might as well try something different. ]

I'd appreciate that. Thank you, Peter.
