Right, okay. Let's do a little recap.

First, I'm tossed into some crazy battle with a bunch of enchanted objects and the fate of the world on our hands. Then, reality comes apart and you want to toss me into some...nexus?

I'm all for avoiding the end of the world, honest, but I think this is pushing it just a little too far, don't you think? Even if I do get a dæmon out of it...

I'll be able to go back in a little less than a week... But I'm not sure if my magic will be fully restored by then.

Yes- I am the Abhorsen. I am- a necromancer, but I lay the dead to rest instead of raising them.

Woah, really? You... How do you lay them to rest?

By magic, by bell, and sometimes by sword. Many Dead in the Old Kingdom prey on the living, in order to remain in this world.

Old Kingdom? Is that where you used to live?

'Used to' isn't quite accurate- I'll be returning there soon enough, with any luck.

Right, yeah. But...what is it? I've never heard of a place like that.

It's the kingdom directly north of Ancelstierre. But in many ways- it's almost like another world.

Yeah, it sounds like it. What's it like, though?

Full of magic, and full of Dead. Although with Ke- with the source of the Dead sealed away, and the power of the Kingdom restored, they are being driven back.
