[Ryo looks around, at first just confused by his surroundings, and then looking for someone in particular.

[Eventually, he stops, his expression slightly irritated, and lifts both palms as if to ask, What gives?

[He also unclips a white D-Arc with red accents (Takato's) from his belt and holds that up pointedly, but, getting no answer, just sighs and hooks it back on.]

(OOC: Ryo's from Brave Tamer rather than the Tamers anime c: so he's actually about eleven-twelve-ish rather than fourteen, won't be as tall et al.)

[Hello, small, decidedly non-human creature. He's not sure why, but he has kind of a soft spot for small non-human creatures. Crouching down, he unhooks the digivice again and holds it up to try and scan Amaterasu, because this has to be a Digimon, right?]

[Chibi doesn't know what to make of the digivice..so he leans forward and snuffles at it. Doesn't smell like food!]

[Hm, it's not reading anything, maybe not a 'mon after all-- WHOA HELLO THERE. He falls backwards in surprise at the snuffling, then, realizing this isn't an attack or anything yet; alas, distrustful Ryo is distrustful, sits up again and offers a hand for him to sniff. Sure would have been nice if he could remember more about his own life than how to meet dogs.]

[Confused at Ryo's skittishness, Chibi sniffs his hand when offered then he licks and he wags his tail happily. This Ryo human seems like a really nice person!]

[Aw, yuck. Ryo chuckles, wiping his hand off on his pants, but then he pats Chibi's head carefully.]

[He leans into the petting. Don't be afraid, he won't bite! His mommy told him to never bite humans unless it was to help them.]

[Oh, look, have a Ken who's about the same age and has just started remembering his adventures in the Digital World with Ryo.

And by just starting, I mean, remembering being hit by the Dark Seed after pushing his friend out of the way. Anything he else he was told by Wormmon and even then, any memories he has are hazy.

So you'll have to excuse him as he stands there staring, trying to jog his memories.]

[Even hazy memories are more than what Ryo has at this point, sadly. This kid looks achingly familiar, but he can't remember why...

[He joins in the staring, until eventually, he lifts a hand in greeting, still confused.]

[Ken raises his own, still looking slightly confused, when his mind decides to help him out a little. His eyes narrow as he remembers flashes from his dreams.]

You... were there. In the Digital World.

[And then he hesitates. He could be wrong, after all. He's learned that he can't always rely on what he thinks is true. It's gotten him in trouble before, after all.]

[Briefly, Ryo's eyes narrow a little in mild suspicion, because while this guy isn't really setting off alarm bells by himself, knowing about his digital past kind of does.

[But he nods cautiously.]

My name is Ken. Ken Ichijouji. My partner is Wormmon.

[He shakes his head ruefully, a small smile that usually only seen by Wormmon and perhaps Daisuke on his lips.]

My memories are rather hazy from back then, but... I remember hurting my neck. Wormmon told me later that I recovered from it and went back home.

[It's almost his way of pumping Ryo for information.]

[Ken. He's heard that name before, from the ENIAC, someone he apparently fought Milleniumon with. He frowns, trying to remember, then retrieves a small deck of digimon cards from his pocket, looks through it, and eventually holds up a Wormmon card to Ken in an attempt to connect the two in his own memory. This partnership, this Ken kid hurting his neck - it feels like a movie he saw so long ago he forgot the ending.

[But - Ken has given him this much already; he should be polite and reply properly.]

I - [The word sticks in his throat; he swallows and tries again, indicating himself, his voice hoarse from disuse.] Ryo. [At least, everyone keeps calling him that, and it's the one thing that feels kind of familiar.

[This 'partner' ENIAC has given him, Monodramon, doesn't feel as right as what is apparently his name does, but he's the closest thing Ryo has, so he rifles through his deck again and then holds up his Monodramon card.

[Memories, though... Apologetic, he spreads his palms and shrugs: He's got nothing.]

[Ryo snorts at that comment, but more than that, this is a new digimon to him and he's curious. Crouching down before WebWormmon, he holds up his D-Arc to try and scan him.]

...You look a little different.

[Someone he's met recently, saying what is apparently his name! Ryo waves.

[And then he tilts his head at Takato curiously, because as far as Ryo's concerned, it hasn't been very long since he encountered this gogglehead. Like, maybe a day or two, at most a week (time travel makes judging how much time has passed for him a bit hard to tell). Hardly enough time for much to change in his appearance, he would have thought.]

[Oh, Guilmon, everything is wrong. He doesn't remember most of his own past, he has to save the entire digital world from someone who apparently can't be defeated as long as he's alive Harry Potter, eat your heart out, and now he's being dragged into DWRP of all stupid things??

[But what can he really do? He just shrugs, one palm up.]
