...I... I thought of the exact same thing when I was Nightmare Whisper. I took everypony's pain and sadness, and I felt all of it. I thought I just couldn't let the world be cruel anymore, so I'd make it kind. I turned everypony into foals to try and help them...

...I realize now that that was a horrible thing to do, and the world needs cruelty to happen. I messed up big time, and I regret it... If you lose control and something bad happens to me, then that's my punishment for what I did.
