If nothing else, I will make the best of it.

( he's hopeful, as well. he left everything behind to erase his sins in jerusalem, and now that the city has fallen, he had no understanding of where he should go. back to france, perhaps. back to the place where he had meant to die all along. whatever this ship's condition, it will serve him well. )

I'm afraid not. While I'm certain I'd enjoy the change in scenery, it'd be a bit like asking for trouble, I think. I'm not much of an angel any longer, after all.

( an angel. there are stories, of course. angels that spoke to men, angels that performed miracles. but balian, ever the skeptic, has a hard time believing it of the young man in front of him. even more so because he believes that god has abandoned him, or that he does not exist at all. )

Well, it's.. rather a long story, but suffice to say that I gave up much of what made me angelic in order to be able to hide amongst humans like yourself. Which means, of course, that in an enclosed space such as that ship, it might be rather difficult to defend myself if it should become necessary.
