Marvel AU, in [community profile] beyondtherift

Can we please not inform Stark that it's my birthday? I feel like the likelihood she'll do something ridiculous and embarrassing. Please. I just want to go to the Declaration reading at the museum and then watch the fireworks.

No, please don't-- you can't ask if Kenzie knows. I haven't even met this girl, and--

Are you listening? I'm asking politely - please don't let Tony Stark know it's my birthday.

Would you be interested in possible meme AU fun?

[Back then it would have been as friends, but Peggy has lived through considerable changes in taboos since they had made that date.]

It is possible that we could have a chance at that date. If you wanted.

[Smiling wryly, she takes Stevie's hand.] From what I've heard, you did an amazing job against Loki. But then, I never doubted that you and your team would be able to stop him.

[Her lips curve in a faint smile as she gives Stevie's fingers a quick squeeze before letting go. She rather likes some of that 'questionable' music, though she'll admit that it isn't always the best for dancing.] I'd find a club similar to a place we would have visited after the war. I'll try to find one with a band, but if I can't, I'll make sure that they play music from our vintage.

Each of them did their part, but you were the one that finally got through all those conflicting personalities to lead them. No one else would have been able to do that, Stephanie. That is far more important than just holding the Chitari.
