[ He actually starts to growl once he heard her voice. This boy honestly hates your guts, Utena. Tread carefully. ]

[ Now pointing his sword at her, a common move on his part, Saionji glares at her vehemently. ]

[A roll of her eyes and a sigh.] Really? You really want to do this here?

[A beat.] I don't have a problem beating you again but you should know that I don't have Anthy either. [It's a bitch when your mun takes you from near the end of the series.]

[She draws her sword almost thoughtfully.] It would be a good chance to try out all the Kendo I've learned...

(ooc: And we are glad to have you! Ah, and the Kendo she mentions is from ingame where I have her - she's taking lessons.)

[ A cruel laugh escapes him. ]

Do you honestly believe I would by such a blatant lie? The Rose Bride is engaged to you, isn't she? Of course you have her!

[ Considering he's from midway through the first arc, Saionji might seem just a tad annoying. ]

Come! I will show you my true strength!

[ Before she even can get a chance to back out of this duel, Saionji dashes towards her with his sword drawn. ]

( ooc: OMG, she is taking lessons? YAY! That is so cool! Who's her teacher and also, man...Saionji is going to regret all this once he realizes that was Utena in that coffin. )

Tch! [She raises her sword quickly to a midline stance and shifts her feet into an easy defensive position. Let him do the work, see where the strike is going to come from.]

[ A roar of a scream tore from him as he swung his sword wildly at Utena. None of his strikes connected with her, thankfully, but the clanging of their swords were nearly deafening. He kept attacking over and over again, repeatably trying his best to do away with the younger duelist. ]

Give her back!

[ Another swing! ]

(ooc: Oh gawd. Saionji is in for one hell of an ass whipping )

[Utena meets all the blows with ease. It's really nothing like going against her teacher. Here she can see all the mistakes, the ill formed strikes, the poor stance. She can almost here Byakuya correcting it all in her head.]

[His words drive her to start to attack back. And she's not going easy on him neither.]

She's not a possession to just be given or taken away! She's a human being! Get that through - [A blow to the left.] your - [A quick hard strike to the chest.] head! [A direct slash down the center.]

[ His stance may have been poor, and his swings were too wide and ill-formed but that doesn't change the fact that unless she disarms him, this duel will end in bloodshed. He barely managed to block her first strike but managed to quickly parry the blow towards his chest. However, it was the third strike that made him wince from impact.

Utena's blade clashed heavily against his sword, almost causing him to lose his grip. Yet he managed to hang onto the hilt long enough to jab towards her torso. ]

Spare me! She's just merely a tool, a vessel of which my desires will be fulfilled.

[Damn, she'd forgotten one of the most important lessons and let her anger get a hold of her. She steps back quickly but the blow is still far too close for her comfort. She might need to repair her uniform jacket - again.]

Don't you get it! If anyone's the tool, it's you! [And her, too.] We were used too! All of us! [Somehow, even World's End lost control.]

Now get over yourself. [A sharp swing in the shape of a "j" ending in an upward movement. It's a blow to throw him off guard and not strictly a traditional move.]

[ Don't let yourself get too swept up into the heat of the battle, Utena. If that happens then Saionji's victory is absolute. He's stronger than her by far, not quite as skilled while he's rampaging like a bull but still strong. ]

Used by whom?! You'll say anything to deter me!

[ Well, that swing certainly took him by surprise. Saionji didn't know what to do once she cut upwards like that. An illegal move that was but so was the incoming boot to her side. As soon as she manage to wrench his sword out of his hand, Saionji aimed a strong right kick towards her side. ]

...Dammit!

[ A frustrated sigh escaped him. ]

[She saw him shift his weight but didn't really believe he'd actually do it. It's too fast for Utena to fully move out of the way so she shifts to take the blow with her hip and to brace herself. She will not fall, not to him, not ever. It hurts and will bruise but she remains standing.]
Idiot. Satisfied now? [She glares at him, sword still in hand. To be quite honest she's debating whacking him with the flat of the blade in return for that kick. Eventually she decides against it, she does not want to sink to his level.]

I'm telling you the truth. [There's an annoyed tone in her voice. To imply that she was lying just irked her somehow.] I don't have her anymore and we were all used. It was all a plan by Akio with Himemiya's help. [A little quieter now.] To try to free her from the swords of hate.

And I always win because I'm right. And I've been taking lessons. [Because while her made up survival style worked somehow for the Rose Bride duels, the things where she is now required a bit more. She was one of the few not granted powers by the mist so she had to compensate other ways.]

[ A disgruntle sigh followed once Utena began to speak more about Akio's little plan. He always figured that he was being used by someone. Whether it be by Akio or even Touga, Saionji was always being used by someone. It irked him how sternly Utena spoke to him but if she told him this any other way, Saionji knew he wouldn't listen. ]

Your lessons have done you well.

[ He grumbled bitterly, not sure if he wants to touch on the important subject at hand. ]

...Akio never had pure intentions. [ A sigh. ] Neither of them did.

[ He of course means Anthy as well. ]

[Utena suppresses the smile when he admits to how well she's done but does nod to acknowledge. It had to be hard for him to say that and she's not going to rub it in his face. And for whatever reason she's rather pleased to hear that from him. Not that she's going to let that on, either.]

[Instead she sighs. She knows roughly how he must feel, how they all must feel when it was all said and done. To be truthful she feels bad for him. Even if he is Saionji.]

I think they started with them - pure intentions - but just got lost along the way. Just like anyone else. [Yeah, her world is a little less the black and white version she started out with.]
