Mixed emotions on extended cut, and other things. Spoilers likely in comments.

Okay, first thing's first. Yeah, I like Asari, and you know that Liara and I are... well more than just friends. That said, you really should've found something a bit more subtle. I don't chase after every blue chick. ...Just Liara.

...Yeah, I know, I'm kinda stalling. I... I guess it's nicer to have a bit more clarity... that doesn't mean I have to like it. Unless, of course, your theory of me managing to survive is right...

Clarity is one thing, but I thought most complaints weren't about clarity but rather how the 'space-magic' went against everything else previously established?

What, you mean shooting the stupid thing? I haven't tried that yet, but I already got spoilered on what happens.

Much as I wish I could do it myself.

Isn't that the one that automatically makes the Reapers win?

Something tells me discovering a crashed Constitution-class starship on some planet somewhere would have been more fitting than that Starchild nonsense.

At the very least, photon torpedoes and phasers smacking Harbinger in the face would have been a lot more satisfying.

At the very least, it'll make one hell of a story.
revived_paragon: (08. huh. what do you know)

Joker did have one idea that I actually had to convince Wrex was bad, too.

Joker came up with the brilliant idea of building a cannon that fired Krogans. Wrex thought it was brilliant.
revived_paragon: (15. you did not just do that)

[personal profile] revived_paragon 2012-06-27 04:33 am (UTC)(link)
No! You did not just use Joker's arguments in favor of this idea.

I swear to Christ, Mordin doesn't hear a fucking word of this. The last thing we need is him building a goddamn test model.

I'd just like to say I'm in complete support of phasers and photon torpedoes on the Reapers.

On the bright side, in at least one game there is a Shepard who now has the assistance of a Starfleet capital ship.

I don't think there'd be such a thing as 'toe-to-toe' between a Geth Dreadnaught and a Borg Cube.

A Borg Cube is a cubic kilometer, with anywhere from hundreds of thousands to one or two million drones, and are designed so that one or two cubes are sufficient to assimilate planets.

Actually, one of the primary functions of force fields in my home reality is the distribution/diffusement of kinetic impact. It's why even shuttlecraft back home have deflector shields, to prevent microparticles and small asteroids (anything less than, say, a kilogram or so of rock) from colliding with ship hulls at high velocities. Those Primes would probably have to engage the Borg in melee to stand a chance, though considering how rarely the Borg have encountered purely artificial life forms, their chances of assimilating them are guesswork at best.

No, the real thing to worry about would be contact between the Reapers and the Borg. They're alike enough as is without adding in Borg assimilation nanotech into the mix.
