Neither of us really knows what's waiting out there in Unova. So let's make a promise, here and now. Promise to do your best, and I'll do the same. Team Plasma, the Gym Leaders, the Elite Four, we'll defeat them all and become the best Trainer of all. And then let's find a fun game to play in together.

Mm-hmm. I'm going to pick a Snivy. Mun's raised an Oshawott and Tepig already, so I want to try something new. Plus, it's just so cute!

Mmm. But you know, I kind of want to fight them. Miss Hilda defeated them once before. Maybe I should clean up after her. [Pause.] She says you're a good person, though, so I won't fight you.

[he shouldn't be surprised, he did kind of almost almost take over the country and ruin the lives of pokemon and humankind, after all.]

From my understanding, they are much stronger than they were before with new leaders and even more stylish outfits. I do not wish ill will upon my subjects, but their activities must cease. It would be unacceptable for harm to befall you as well, so when you challenge them, see to it that you are confident and prepared.

She's here in our mun's headspace, too. She talks a lot about her adventures and you and her friends. It makes me a little jealous that she has such good companions!

Pokemon Musical? How wonderful! I haven't been to one of those before. Let me guess, a Unova special event? I am one of the panal judges on the Contest judging panel over at Hoenn and sometimes Sinnoh Contest halls.

Would you be interested in competing on a Contest to win the Aqua Ribbon? [He pulled out a shiny metal box and opened it, showing her the ribbon.]

Uh-huh. You dress up your Pokemon in cute outfits and they dance. Whoever gets the biggest audience reaction wins! I want to become famous for that one day.

[Mei gasps in delight and reaches out to touch the Aqua Ribbon.] It's so- so blue! Oh, I'd love to compete for it. I don't know if I can, though. I don't have my Snivy yet.

Dress Pokemon up in outfits? How devine. I will have to check that one out once I reach the Unova region. Are there contests halls there too or just the dance?

[He smiled.] You can compete once you've trained your Pokemon and taught it some moves. I can give you some hints if you like. Make sure you make your Pokemon stand out more than yourself. The judges love that. Also, find your Pokemon's strenghts and weaknesses within battle. Work on your strengths and you will shine through.
