From what I recall being told, my Sunstar was also awakened, and defeated not long afterward.

Everything in the universe ultimately dies. There's nothing at all wrong with helping speed up the process.

It is considered evil by most to do so. There is less chance for a balanced renewal if there is too much destruction. The universe itself relies on that balance in order to even exist.

I don't understand why you would think I care what others think of me. As long as I follow my directives, even the opinions of my subordinates matter little. What must be done must be done.

There will always be new things, and thus, new things to be destroyed.

[Terra just gives his other self a doubtful look. To be so constrained by one's programming like that, to know nothing else, to know no one else other than those you were programmed to acknowledge. Terra counts himself lucky he ever had the chance to be his own mech, to be free of those damned protocols and those sickening loyalty directives, and observe with his own eyes and draw his own conclusions.]

As I said before, if the rate of destruction is considerably higher than the rate of renewal, existence itself becomes compromised. If you destroy something fast enough, and often enough, it eventually never comes back again.

Have you any idea how vast the universe is? There is a neverending supply of planets to be destroyed, civilizations to topple! A thankless, lonely task, you might call it, but it ensures I will always have a place and function. I, at least, know what my purpose is, as opposed to things like you who don't even know why they continue to function.
