Dear Dad,

It's been a long time since we've even recognized each other, which I understand, to an extent. You're busy, I'm busy, we're both trapped in our own self perpetuated insanity and it just doesn't leave time for frivolity. But I'm glad you're paying attention to me again because I'm finally getting sick of the sound of my own voice.

Ha, no, not really, but there's the rub.

I know you want to explore this site and find someplace to hunker down and set me free. Trust me, I want to forget about this hell hole and pretend like peace was never broken, like you can never imagine. But maybe, just maybe I can be a voice of reason in a way that I'm not accustomed to. Take it slow, don't go rushing in wherever your insomnia riddled mind tells you to.
