So in the end we never made it through. The war's lost. Is trying again in another location even a possibility for us, or is this where we say goodbye? If I could give my opinion on the matter...

It's been a long time. I'm tired, and I've been through a lot of pain that turned out to be all for nothing. Part of me wants to surrender, throw in the towel, and never speak of it again. I can part with my memories, return to my old life, and live through the natural course of events, but those don't end any more positively than this.

On the other hand, I know that there are other crises out there. And even if I won't remember any of this, we both know now that I'm strong enough to stand on my own and fight. I won't become exactly who I am now again, but maybe I'll be even better. Or worse, possibly, but I think I've had enough pessimism for one day.

That's not a solid opinion, is it? Sorry.

I understand your pain, I've been in limbo myself for quite a while because where I was went away with no ending and I haven't found a place to be in.

Sometimes though, the fight of just staying alive in the ether is something, making it so one day there is the potential for another home instead of just fading into oblivion. In the end, its just deciding if you can handle that.

It really is hard. That being said, if you have a close enough connection to someone's headspace eventually something new will come. Usually.

This just seems like a nightmare that won't go away, but you're right, as long as I have those memories, the feelings will never go away...

But who knows? Maybe that can still happen.

We still have the choice to build a new future, right? I have some unfinished business I need to fight for.

I... really want to. Build a new future, I really wanted to fix it all and move on to new ventures and go home to our families and such.

Lifemates don't give each other up over hiccups, or whatever term you want to use. You're one of the best people I've ever met, Ronnie. I wouldn't turn my back on that, or any of the other close people who've stuck by me. It would be my greatest happiness to see you again. I love you, this doesn't change that in the slightest.
