Insightful Muse
You are not bored.
You are not hungry.
You are not tired.
You are sentiment... I mean erm... suffering a loss? John would be better at dealing with this than I. But then, you don't have John here in your head-space. Why not try one of the others up here who might actually care?
[Sherlock pauses to wait for an answer. Mun just stares in response thinking, "But you do care."]
Shut-up!

Shut-up!

[He glares at the mun.]
Over a month ago! And just now the actual depression sinks in? I've got a nutter for a mun, that's what wrong.
no subject
Just, nevermind him, for a moment. Please, ignore him, completely.
I am so sorry.
no subject
That's cute, John. But you do realize that in order for you and my mun to communicate, it gets filtered through me, right?
[Well, something should be said for the fact that Sherlock allowed the message to be heard. And what the mun wanted Sherlock to say was, "Thank you."]
no subject
Except the wall wants to chatter about and give its input.
[John wipes a hand down the front of his face.]
Everything will be alright, mundane. It's the price we pay, isn't it? We get very attached to our pets, but one day we have to say goodbye. That's the nature of things. Still, imagine if your pet hadn't come into your life at all? Being hurt at the end is hard, but all the joy you get from the beginning is worth it. You can't replace that.
Keep your chin up.
no subject
How did you do that?
[This is why Sherlock keeps John around - John always surprises him.]
Y-you by-passed me.
[The confusion melts into - almost amazement. Then he sighs.]
The mun would like me to tell you that you're right, but this... is like the loss you will experience - later.
[Sherlock gives his mun a Look.]
Oh... Riiiight, different points in our timeline.
no subject
My mun just caught up, actually. In fact, when your mun made this post, my mun was sniffling over my talk with your...
[He's not going to say it.]
Still sniffling, in fact. Needs a tissue.
But I'm... [He sucks in a breath.] .. with time, I will be..
no subject
Yes... well...
[He clears his throat. And he gestures his head toward both muns.]
They will too... But, you see now, that Mycroft was right. Caring is not an advantage. I mean, just look at the three of you.
[But there might be a hint of concern behind his words. Sherlock shifts his weight from one foot to the other, because this might just break through his stoic wall. He remembers John's words spoken at the grave-site and might just have to act on them if this sentiment keeps up much longer.]
no subject
[John might not believe the answer.]
You cared. I know you cared in your.. strange sort of way.
Would you have preferred it if we never met?
no subject
Sometimes... considering what I had to do to save you...
[Which in Sherlock's own way shows just how much he did care about John. And well, in the end.]
...It's your fault, you know. You changed me.
[But it sounds more like he's saying, "Thank you and don't ever suggest that we shouldn't have met."]
no subject
[No, John wasn't suggesting that at all. Even if his whole life did get turned upside down the moment they met.]
no subject
[He points to their respective muns.]
What do we do about them?
no subject
How's yours?
no subject
Disappointed in me - [He turns to face his mun.] - But, I got him here!
[He sighs again.]
Not pleased with me. But better for having seen you. And glad that you and your mun are caught up. Things are so much simpler when everyone's on the same timeline.
no subject
And don't worry, I'm displeased with you all the time, but I get over it.
[A hint of a smile.]
no subject
Oh the mun and I have.... and arrangement. I just never expected this.
no subject
What have you done to that poor mun, Sherlock?
no subject
I haven't done anything. I just... don'tunderstandsentiment
[He mumbled that last bit.]
no subject
no subject
Similar to the living arrangement you and I share, John.
no subject
You.. do whatever pleases you, and I do my best to tolerate it.
[Is that the arrangement they're talking about?]
no subject
Knew you'd get there.
no subject
no subject
Shut-up.
no subject
no subject
Right. Well. Since you all get along so well... just go ahead. Just don't forget who introduced you.
[Sherlock is quite certain it was him.]
no subject
You're what we have in common.
no subject
[Besides, he'd like to see you try to talk to his mun without him around - never mind all the other muses the mun has... John wouldn't like them - so Sherlock thinks. The mun thinks John would like them just fine.]
no subject
no subject
What?
[He doesn't do sentiment. Why doesn't anyone realize this? Never mind that his mun is doing better after this conversation.]
no subject
Let's eat.
no subject
Angelo's or Chinese?
no subject
no subject
Well, don't just stand there... let's go.
