No one on Coruscant knows how to dress themselves, I've noticed. If wearing the same five shades of brown and grey over and over is considered high fashion there, I wouldn't take "badly dressed" as an insult.

Going to seventeen would just make me into an outright teenager. [He laughs.] I was only sweet when I had to be, then. That was the year that Biggs and Tank left, and I didn't have anything to do with anyone who even wanted to see the other side of Tatooine.

I must have complained so much when I was that age... It was also that year that I killed someone for the first time. One of the Sand People. [Distantly:] Sometimes it feels like I've never stopped...

Anyway. It is a big change, and something my mundane has to be certain about. It would mean that I could handle darker and more stressful events, but something would be lost, too.

[Self-deprecating] I'd be a little ashamed to be seventeen in Counted Stars. So many of the people there did so much by that age, but I was about as much of a child then as at thirteen. It was just legal for me to drive and fly.

Yes, that one. From everyone else's perspective it'll be like you'll just suddenly grow up one day. Re-introducing myself to everyone was awkward when I did it, and at least I was still basically the same person. You'll have changed quite a bit.

Sheltered by some definitions. My foster parents tried to keep me safe, but it was Tatooine. I just didn't get much done. [His head ducks slightly.]

I don't think I'd be able to blame River or anyone else for being impatient with me at that age. I wasn't particularly graceful about what I wanted, or the little I'd done. Puberty isn't kind to anyone.
