Remember how I said I had no heart? That was only a partial lie. I don't let myself become attached to anything because I see it as a form of weakness and yet, the part of me which pined for attention made me put my guard down so I could be noticed by everyone. That's why I did what I did, but... I should have known better and kept my distance, because I learned long ago that trying to attach yourself to things only makes you realize it's never worth it.
