This canon point...
Miss,
My, my. This is quite the challenge you've set for yourself, isn't it? That's not to say I'm not intrigued; this will be an interesting little exercise for me if you manage to pull it off. And yet with that said, I'll be impressed if you manage to keep it up; discovering that you're not up to it will be disappointing to be sure, though I can't say it will be unexpected.
However, perhaps I'm feeling optimistic; I'll give you a month, simply because it's almost impossible for this to go badly in that span of time. Anything beyond that is up to you; I can only take you so far, and I refuse to drag you uphill like some sort of stubborn pack animal.
Look at it this way: you have your job, and I have mine. Remain vigilant, do your job, and keep as far ahead as you can at all times; the rest will follow easily enough.

[...Wait, does that mean this Kimblee is pulled from a different point in time?]
[OH GOD WHAT IS THIS]
You shouldn't underestimate everyone, you know.
[Ignore the fact that his whole brain is crying, please.]
no subject
...oh what is that expression for]
Perhaps not, but she hasn't given me much reason to have faith in her.
[Despite his words, however, he doesn't sound annoyed; almost bored, really, or at the very least completely unimpressed.]
no subject
[He still isn't impressed with his, but she certainly seems intent to keep him around...]
...So uh... you were... pulled from during the war, right?
no subject
[He seems a bit more relaxed now that that's out of his system; still displeased, however.]
It seems the same can't be said for you...?
no subject
[...Man, this is weird.]
Yeah, I can understand that. The war was a long time ago for me.
[There isn't anything in Isaac's voice with that - no frustration or sadness; it's just a statement.]
no subject
...yes, well.]
It's good to see that you managed to pass that deadline I gave you - you clearly saw the end of it.
no subject
[That's accompanied by a smirk though; he's obviously teasing.]
no subject
[...obviously teasing as well, however.]
no subject
[It's very easy to relax around Kimblee like this. He's not sure what it is, but there's something very different about this Kimblee.]

You know the uniform does look good on you amusingly

Do I want to ask for clarification, or should I not bother?

[Hey Constance can play the role of a good State alchemist if she has to, really she's fighting the urge to drown him, but hey behaving's good.]
no subject
I haven't remained in the military this long for nothing, you know. Constant insubordination would get me nowhere.
no subject
Bah, you know they can't afford to let one of the Alchemists go. [She taps her hip with her wrist, and a ball of water forms in her hand. She juggles it around almost bored]
And the mun's just going to face palm. Really Constance behave will youno subject
I never said that they would "let me go," now, did I?

[[It's really the nicest thing that can be said about the whole situation, and it's said firmly, without a hint of emotion or uncertainty. Kimblee has always been unpredictable; best not to anger him.]]
no subject
[He doesn't seem bothered or offended by her words; they both know it isn't, and he's content to leave it at that. No point in rubbing it in any, really.]
no subject
Do you intend to be here long?

[[Riza stops herself sharply, forcing back her displeasure. As much as she dislikes him, Kimblee is a Major, and thus outranks her. Even though he's been discharged back in her own timeline, it's not worth testing his temper if he's capable of using his alchemy. While he's being co-operative, she may be able to get information out of him. Still, the blatant lack of respect is frustrating.
Not frustrating enough, however, to make her bite.]]
I have no intention of arguing with you, Major.
no subject
A hazard of the occupation, I suppose.
no subject
[[If we're being technical.]]
You don't strike me as the sort to really consider opposing views, anyway.
no subject
[Very technical.]
As for opposing viewpoints, I'll consider them. Whether I accept them or not is my prerogative, but I'll always consider.
