Of course the date was deliberate. Vampires have fathers and mothers too, you know, we just use a different word for them. People are stupid enough to buy into this as another way we're the same. Trust me.

I know I'm essentially a prop for one of your little things that you do, but don't think you can get rid of me, if I decide I really want to stay. I'm more tenacious than you will ever realize.

It's good for business, really. People are more comfortable with things that look like them. As you say, stupid of them, but another reason why you're such good predators.

I'm not to sure about the whole sparkle thing though... I'm hoping it's just a fad...

Are you kidding? Twilight was great for us. Made us nonthreatening, encouraged all those future voters to support us.

I don't doubt that! I know tons of you who throw glitter on themselves and tell girls they're named Edward or... James... or whoever else it would be. It also completely screws up people's beliefs in what can harm you.

The little deer practically throw themselves at you. It's sort of ridiculous.

No. But we haven't made it a priority. Most vampires aren't very interested in human politics at this point. That's changing as vampires start to skew younger. In the open we're making a lot more.

A similar thing is happening America now, for my world. Vampires have always been, as you say, out in the open. But with the recent influx and romanticizing of them and the ability for them to actually have a life at night with modern technology they're trying for voting rights too.

I doubt it will work. The government really dislikes the idea of people who can influence minds and aren't human to try and run their country.

Though making a lot of spawn so quickly is dangerous.
