"Father's" Day bandwagon, also icons and musings
So very kind of you to finally give me icons with which to express myself. I dare say if that kind woman had not sent you some, you would have never had the motivation. And please, spare me your excuses - "proper schooling" is not really all that "proper". Stifling the imagination and morbid curiosity in favor of creating more like-minded simpletons hardly seems like an ideal practice. And you have stated yourself, "in this economy, it's unlikely I'll even get a job". Why do you pour money, then, into something which will give you nothing in return for your investment? Curious.
...
I am growing tired of your jokes about "posting" with me on Father's Day. This day does not exist in my time and will not for several decades. As for Christine Daaé, and I am her teacher, not her father. A father figure perhaps, but, that is of little import.
...
You are honestly beginning to make me regret granting you my Voice. I am not certain creating another account for me would be wise, seeing as how you have blurred many of the lines between the movie adaption and the book, as it is. There cannot be two Angels of Music.

Well, it does seem neither of us really have anything to celebrate today.

I'm not acquainted with this holiday. They do not have it in my time.

It comes in a few decades from my time, at least, according to this girl. Those Americans do seem quite fond of their holidays.

[As in, he doesn't notice them very much.]

The second is my face itself. [He motions to his face.] People are so repulsed by my face... it is difficult to spend time in the light, so I find myself spending more time in the shelter of darkness.
no subject
[She sees the mask.] I do not find you repuslive. You should not hide away from the light.
no subject
[He shakes his head slightly.] Not with a mask, no.
Darkness and solitude... it is much more comforting. No one to judge you... no one to revile you. And protection, as everyone is on equal footing in the darkness.

But everyone has a right to the sun, to fresh air. [She does not know what could be wrong with him to make him think that he must hide his face.]

My mother was too busy loathing me to pay me any mind.
I admit it is possible for me to enjoy the sun; I simply prefer the shade. [Oh, if only you knew, Princess.]
no subject
I'm truly sorry that happened to you. No one deserves such a thing, especially from your mother.
[Sheeee's a Disney Princess so it's an up-in-the-air sort of situation depending if or when his true face is revealed.]
So sorrry for lateness, been pretty busy this week
[If it's the Phantom's choice, he's never showing anyone his face ever again.]
No worries! Everything okay though?
Yeah, just summer school!
[Still, he sympathizes with the Princess, who is very beautiful and very kind to him.] You seem to know quite a bit about this topic, Your Highness.
ah! no wonder
Haha, yes ;; What was I thinking...
Had, as in, no longer? How was it broken?
THe betterment of your education?
My aunt Merry Weather changed the spell. Rather than die, I would merely fall into a deep sleep once I pricked my finger on the spindle of the spinning wheel. I would only be awoken with true love's kiss.
Something like that.
[He pauses upon listening to the rest.] I trust, then, that true love's kiss was found, as you are standing before me today. I find that happy endings such as yours are rarer in my time - mine certainly does not end so well.
(( ooc: Terribly sorry for being late on this and absent for the next few days; final project and finals are coming up in one class and midterms in the other. ))

[She smiles and nods. She is very much in love.] Yes, I have found my true love by a kind twist of fate. [Because being betrothed to a complete stranger? Noooot her ideal. She then looked at him and reached out for his hand.] Your story is still being told. Perhaps you will find it, or it you.
(OOC: No worries! Class and RL comes first!)
no subject
My "story" is not one, I believe, that you would much like to hear, much less anyone else. [He hesitates, and reaches out his bony hand, thinking she'll shrink away from it.]
no subject
I would listen to what you wish to tell me.
no subject
I am afraid it is very tragic indeed. You have already heard pieces of it, here and there. And, according to what my Mundane says... my story does end in death, as it began.

(OOC: Hey guess what! You and I ended up apping to the same game!)
