Why has "it's complicated" become the mantra of her life?
So glad to see you settling in with me, but now we've come to the part where you truly grasp what it means to be me. It's not adventure, excitement and longevity; there is loss, pain and the inability to save all I would wish.
My life is a double edged sword, as you now know. Every interaction is complex for me, I lose far more than I would ever want; abnormals, friends, lovers, family...
We mustn't dwell on the loss though, that is key. We forge ahead, we make life meaningful and in so doing we honor the lost. Now you understand this, you can choose to continue or choose to abdicate, I would not hold it against you.
[Oh No Helen, I'm in for the long haul here.]
Well then, excellent. Let's decide what we do from here, shall we?

I couldn't help overhearing, madam, but I wanted to say - you're quite right. Hold on to the memories, treasure them - that's the way to do it.
