You never really realize how much you miss earthbending until you lose your teacher or any kind of earth.

What I wouldn't give to be a metalbender. I don't know, but it feels like my feet are getting lazy too. I can't feel anything in this metal ship. And all I have is this big piece of diamond earth to practice with. Diamond isn't exactly the easiest kind of earth to bend either.

[ He sighs. ] I don't normally pick favorites, but I think after air, earth's gotta be my favorite element. And I only realized it after that element was taken from me.

Did I mention how sad it makes me that my earthbending teacher isn't here? Come on Sifu Toph, I know you're out there somewhere.

I can't imagine she'll be a fan of space travel, but at least she can see, right?

She'll be on solid ground, so that should be good.

How are you doing there?

I'm doing pretty good. Minus the black hole that's threatening to suck the spaceship up. We're stuck halfway inside of it, so at least that makes me think our chances of survival are much better.

What? How can that be pretty good?

Before getting stuck inside of the black hole I thought we were going to be crushed. But the ship is fun!

Yeah, that sounds like a lot of fun, Aang.

[ He laughs, but there is very little humor behind it. ] When almost certain death is hanging over our heads, it actually is a lot of fun.

[AANG! You can't say things like that and NOT expect to get hugs. I mean... REALLY!]

Thanks Suki. [ Aang loves hugs, and eagerly returns it. ] It hate not being able to do anything, but there are so many people with so many different abilities, I have to believe that between all of us we will be able to solve this problem.
