You're really determined to get some character development from me aren't you? You go as far as to buy two books purely on developing and designing characters and then you make a journal for the one character you can't seem to get anything from--Me.

But you have gotten something from me. So just keep writing and other stuff will pour out soon enough. I'm pretty sure that's how it works for most writers. Letting me talk to other characters is not going to do much-especially since they're not gonna care much about my past.

My author was hoping to get more of a voice on me. Obviously that means she should create a journal and let me talk to other people.

Personally, I think she'd do better to just write.

Not necessarily. There's wannabe vampires and werewolves too. You ever been bit by someone wearing plastic fangs? It's embarrassing.

...No. I can't say that I have. Fortunately I haven't come across someone that.. unbalanced.

How does someone become an unwilling detective? You could always get a job at McDonalds.

Stick around a little while. You'll meet some interesting types. And by 'interesting', I mean 'batshit crazy'.

It's not as dramatic or miraculous as it sounds. I just haven't decided what kind of career I'd like to go into. By accident I solved a case while on a field trip to a forensic science lab and somehow that sparked the idea for officers on the homicide division to come and get me whenever there's been a murder-even if I'm busy with something else. Like class.

Yeah? That sounds... kinda like a pain in the ass, to be honest with you. Are they at least paying you for all this work?

Not by the police. The Homicide inspector and I don't get along. He hates when I get dragged along to cases but he usually lets me stay because I'm observant than his whole team.

Sounds like he should hire a new team, if he has to contract someone he barely knows to help solve his cases. If he's not paying you, who is?

My mun's pretty much doing the same thing as yours, hence why I'm here.

She'll say it helps. But the real trick is to write out a journal detailing your past to your author-ah do't leave anything out either. No matter how embarrassing.
