Hello there, dear Mundane.

I find it encouraging and flattering that of all the wonderful men and women in the universe I come from, I was the one you decided to portray. I'm certain that I will serve you well for as long as you would host me.

My only concern is this: how exactly do you think people would perceive me? It appears that anyone other than my father treats me with absolute disdain. Are all people like this? If they are, I think it would be best for anyone involved if I continued my work elsewhere.

I think how people treat you reflects on how you treat them.

Oh, I don't care if people would not treat me as they would others, sir. I was merely expressing concern about the efficiency of others. If my presence creates negative reactions, perhaps I'm best utilized in other locations.

Strong words from a human. Why do you speak as if you are not one of them? You look like a weak human to me.

[He smiles, if not a bit ruefully.] Because I am not a human.

Hm. [He sensed a different heat aura given out by the man. Perhaps he was telling the truth.]

Then why do you look like a human? Surely, your race would want to look like their own.

I am an android, created by humans. My creator believed my appearance and mannerisms would create a sense of ease among those with whom I'd interact with.

An android? A humanoid construct containing part organic flesh amongst mechanical parts. So, your creator wanted you to be like him. Don't you find humans selfish? Wanting creatures to look in their image?

[His face remains impassive as he answers.] I'm incapable of feeling emotion. But if you were to create an entirely new life form, would you not want to feel comfortable around it?

[He tilted his head at the man's words.] I suppose I would.

I just find humans to be selfish and naive when it comes to other species. They tend to become agressive and fearful when they meet something they do not understand. Quite primitive really.

On the contrary, the team I had come to work with was quite inquisitive about the species that they had originated from. They called them the Engineers.

Unfortunately, these Engineers seemed to have grown tired of them, and were cultivating Xenomorphs as a weapon against them.

Engineers? Cultivating Xenomorphs? [He snarled at that word.] My kind despise the Xenomorphs. They are an evil race with one purpose. To wipe out all other life. My kind are at war with them.

Of course, sir. It was interesting, however, to see how quickly a singular infection from one single specimen the size of a maggot could affect the entire human body. Perhaps it was unethical of me to perform this sort of procedure, but my father had asked it of me.

[Sir? This android called him sir. No other human machine had called him that...]

Your father? Who might he be? [Elite was curious now. Perhaps this man had the answer in eradicating the Xenomorphs.]

Sir Peter Weyland. [If one can catch onto these things, the way his name is said could almost be considered fond.] He was the chairman of Weyland Industries.

[Weyland. Why did that seem familiar to him, somehow?]

I tend not to get involved with human kind and thier corporations. My war is with the Xenomorphs. Do you have a name, android?

[Maybe because Weyland-Yutani is at fault for everything ever in this entire series?] Yes. I am David, model 8. Former posting aboard the Weyland Survey Ship Prometheus.

You have a ship? Impressive. I am guessing that you are the captain, being superior to the humans. What is the Prometheus out to achieve?

I am not, sir. The one in charge of the mission, at surface level at least, is Meredith Vickers, daughter of Sir Peter Weyland. Our mission is to study what we can find of the ones known as the Engineers, and if possible, take what we learn and hopefully apply it to our own civilization.

You have a woman in charge of your mission? Strange. In our civilization, the women stay at the nests and look after the young. We would never endanger our females within dangrous missions. Humans are strange.

What do you aim to find out about these Engineers?

(She tilted her head in confusion, normally they run away by now. Unsure on what the normal greeting was she decided to just repeat the word)
