I've got a better idea. We'll live vicariously through the other Asamis on the internet.

I know plenty of people who were less mature than me and older! It's not like a switch gets flipped and then it's safe to teach someone to drive!

You said it's fast? So what's your top speed?

I got to two fifty klicks per hour! ...Actually it's only sort of new, it's the shell of an old Selaniko Sportster, but he bought a new Aratech Arrow and just... took the engine out and rebuilt it into the Sportster. You can do that when you're rich I guess, buy speeders just to use bits of them... Well, it does work great. The handling is amazing!

I plan to be! One day. My father - well, okay, he was a navigator on a spice freighter, but those have to know how to fly the ship too, they'd have to. People who knew him say I'm a lot like he was.

The wandering kind. The kind who's been everywhere, or almost, and seen a little of everything... The kind who never stays in one place for long, and calls space home. And who's been the first human to see a bunch of things.
I think I'd like that.

Oh, I'd join the Survey Corps! They put together these small teams of people to go out into the unknown and map it, and they make first contact! It's really dangerous work and complicated, so the teams have a lot of autonomy, it's not like set schedules and rigid orders and so on.
