Not that it matters but, in my experience, telling them not to do something only makes them want to do it that much more.

If yours is anything like mine, then it doesn't matter what's good for you, or anybody else for that matter. If it amuses them, they're going to do it. I think they get some kind of bonus points if it annoys us.
