trying to get back in the rp groove

Are you really sure you have the patience to roleplay after all this time?

[ HEAVY SIGH ]

I get that you're excited about having a muse that clicks with you again, but... jeez...

Always the one to fall into base impulses, fool.

[His reply is laced too gently with acerbic poignancy -- or, perhaps, he wishes to feign disinterest.]

"you can just use the game cg" HAHAHAHA

A petty difference. [Curiosity has been the best and worst of teachers, and Albel can't help but press.

Albeit underhandedly, of course.
]

If you minded yourself, surely you wouldn't surrender with such... inertia.

you don't have the GUTS and oh lawdy your fayt is lovely, btw :'D

Semantics? Hmph. You make me curious, fool.

[Silence, for a long moment, allowance to merely disregard the bubbling snarl itching against the corners is his lips.

Leingod's logic. Impeccable, yet not easy to swallow in the slightest.
]

... Just where do you plan on going?
bladeflare: <user name=ida> (pic#1776469)

thank you kindly! are you thinking of placing him in a game?

What is it that makes you comfortable? Warm regards? Shining flowers? Bah. Take off your rose-tinged glasses. All lack the idealism you seek.

[The swordsman obviously has his own cold opinions -- and he expects they'll be summarily rejected now and then -- but the cynicism here holds some shred of truth. Nothing can make one comfortable when they're held against their will.]

The prison I've been thrown into certainty fits no standards.

[He's just going to ignore that. Nevermind the fact that he's in the dark as far as understanding the Eden idiom goes.]

The most pathetic excuse for a Keep. [He has been spending months at Holloway's, so there's no surprise in his bitter tone of disfavor.] With a letter that so ill-convincingly states our host is a man of "humble" intentions.

[It is not so much a normal citadel, moreso a castle of begrudging motions of casual violence interrupted by sessions of nongermane festivities. It has its place of celebration, but the punishments decked to those who were in some way insolent were the sort of imagery that was not easy to forget.

The swordsman speaks insinuatingly on his criticism, rolling his eyes with a darker 'hmph'. There's a brief respite before he continues.
]

... The Aquarian wench is there.

{ooc: BEEP BEEP BEEP because there's no way to fit what I wanted to say in the subject line without it being terribly understated or just aesthetically unappealing. i'm Ida, by the way! as far as game-picking goes, i think size, more than any other factor, matters most. i've found [community profile] holloways_keep (the game albel's in right now) to be wonderful, although it's fairly small/medium sized compared to others. (AND having a castmate is always a plus yo.) other games, like [community profile] capeandcowl and [community profile] singularityrpg are larger in size, and Singularity in particular features a spacetime-technological setting that fayt may ease well into. of course, fayt's a character that's had his share of both medival (holloway's) and galaxtic (singularity) settings, so it's up to you bb!}

[In Apris's name, don't go there, Fayt. One might figure, with the span of months of travelling with Zelpher in the search for Luther -- then adding a few more in the Keep -- they should be more in control of their irritability by now. One could figure they'd stop succumbing into what was obviously irrelevant children's play, but Albel will swear over his dead body that as long as the Aquarian kept her insufferable nosing up, he'd be just as insufferable back.

Somewhere, the flames of the Pandemonium is licking the bottom of her heels. Or so Albel would like to hope.
]

Hn. She has been there much longer than I.

[There's nothing much left to say. As far as Nel was concerned, she's amassed over a year or away from home and Albel could not speak for her experiences even if he possessed the knowledge to do so. She was "taking it", admittingly, better than he did, but it's open as to whether the inevitable passage of time can be thanked for such.]

{ooc: beautiful! :'D if you decide to give it a go, the app cycle ends on the 16th, so if you're legitimately superman and can write an app that fast it would be incredible, tbh. (there's always the cycle after that, however.) not to mention, i know one of our mods also plays Cliff in her down time. and obviously if you have any questions, feel free to mozy right on up and ping/add me on plurk (idahna)!}

What?

[Albel scoffs -- was the blue-haired fool, perhaps, implying something?]

Ridiculous, worm. Her business is nothing of my concern. Zelpher has been naught but retired her desire to escape the Keep. The Aquarian takes no action.

I, on the other hand, have other plans.

---------------------------------------------------------------------

{ooc: sounds good. (there's a revolt plot going on right now that albel's involved in -- which is also what he's referring to by 'plans' -- and it probably is best to wait after the shenanananagins simmer down to introduce fayt. and re:plurk, it's ah-okay bruh! tbh i'm pretty new to plurk and don't plurk as often as others but AH WELL.}

[Albel's discovered a way to victory with nearly every enemy he's encountered. Besides, he'd hardly take down people who actually mattered.

And in the Keep? That was a handful of individuals, perhaps less.

Fayt's sly little mention only makes him scowl, however.
]

Hmph! You mock me? The maggots there are playthings. I know just how simple it is to take down a puppetry with no bite to his bark.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

{ooc: psh no prob bob! so3 players are definitely few and far in between so i honestly reeled back when i saw a fayt hork hork hork.]

[personal profile] bladeflare 2012-06-12 01:35 pm (UTC)(link)
Bah. And you make a lot of unnecessary allies.

[Albel shrugs dismissively, but doesn't deny anything else. The swordsman is not the one to renounce truth under any circumstance, no matter how straightforward or veraciously intentioned it was barreled his way. More than any other, Albel was almost too painfully aware of his faults, his cruelty.

The only difference between him and the others is he accepts it.

Hasn't anyone warned you of strangers?
