Yeah, that's what I figured. I've never been to that many places besides my home town and the surrounding area, but given how varied that is...I'm sure I can handle it anyway.

Yeah, the one from my world is no good at all. [ Sigh ] I know pirates are mostly out for treasure, but she took stuff that didn't belong to her most of the time! Treasures that belonged to my uncle since he found 'em first!

My typical policy for dealing with thieves and most pirates is to punch their lights out. Treasure-hunting pirates are one thing, so long as they're not hurting anyone, but the ones that pillage like that? No. Not cool.

But it sounds like you took care of it and got everything back?

Yup! [ She has the biggest smug look on her face possible. ] Not even the dreaded pirate Risky Boots is strong enough to defeat me!

A guardian genie has to be tough. If I wasn't, I couldn't keep my job!

Yup! Fireballs, flamethrowers, pike balls, storm clouds, things like that.

My favorites are the fireball ones since they usually get the job done. [ And they're less of a magic drain. ]

Race? I'm a half-genie!

[blink. Well, this is new!] Huh. There aren't any genies where I come from. They're just considered mythical characters, namely from a book called "1001 Arabian Nights".

Makes sense. They're mythical because they don't live in this world...usually.

Not really sure. If one's imprisoned in a lamp, that usually does it, but only rarely does the portal between the regular world and theirs open up.

Guess that makes me and the other half-genies pretty rare, huh?
