It's hasty to say there are no such things as monsters merely because you don't identify anything in your world as a monster. Disregarding animals referred to as monsters in the past and the infinite possibilities of life in other worlds, it's a problem of semantics. Even you or I could be considered monsters if we committed a sufficient atrocity.
