So "Marauder" makes me sound exponentially more badass than I actually am, considering this morning I managed to trip over my own shoelaces, fall up the stairs, and set the toaster on fire... somehow... all within the span of about an hour. I'm just saying. I think you're a bit confused. It's also sort of rude. I'm not mad, thank you.

Oh, um. And. I am holding you to that promise. Of a vacation. So you had better do that, or... I'll... do... something very... threatening. Uh. I will turn you into a cat.

...well, it would be if I ever actually did it to someone. It makes a pretty great threat, though!

Although I think being a cat would be pretty weird, though. I mean, I know a lot of guys who are really into the transhumanism thing but I think being in anything other than my own body would be pretty freaky.

I actually -- you know, I wonder how that would work, exactly, a human mind in a cat body. Would they even know they aren't actually a cat?

I am not very good either, but I am getting better at them! A friend of mine has taught me a few; she used to be in the army so she knows a lot of them, I guess.

I know some people who've tried being animals for a while for a variety of reasons, and they say it's possible to keep knowing who you are, but it gets harder the longer you stay. I mean, I guess it depends on how much effort you put into the spellcasting, and if you're good at doing spellwork on the mind...

I'm not sure I actually could turn her into a cat. I could definitely make her think she is one, though, which is... close enough, really. That's interesting, though. I wonder if you could rig a timer it to revert after a few hours and just -- kind of take a vacation from being human.

Maybe Rachel is just a natural, then. She is just kind of congenitally angry, I think.

That does sound like it could be interesting... I'd have to think that's possible. It'd be nice to sort of just switch off for an hour or two sometimes.

Probably not very safe, but it would be nice, yes. I would like to be a bird for a while.
