... Well, that holiday was interesting enough, in its own perverse way. I still find it odd that people would celebrate the death of a clergymen in such a manner, but the surface world is quite different from what I'm used to.

... Halloween had much tastier candy, though.

At any rate, they were all back to normal by the end. I shan't be visiting El Paso again anytime soon, though.

I'm not. I'm perfectly normal, where I come from. [No you're not, Klarion.] I'll admit that my appearance is somewhat different, but that's no reason for people to stare and jeer.

Why would you be? It's a room underground, through the sewers. It's quite comfortable and dry, in its own way. Teekl enjoys chasing the rats. I have a... what do you call it? A bag-bean chair? And fruit-flavoured cereal! [His eyes light up again at that last bit - cereal! In fruit flavours!]

Maybe I should just give a list of things to avoid down there. I don't know why you don't find somewhere nicer than the sewers to live, can't you just magic yourself up a place?

It's not as simple as that, unfortunately. Besides, my eyes adjust well to the darkness, and it's hardly a permanent residence - it's just a place for us to rest after we've been exploring.
