Why not just go for it? The puppeteer can always leave if it gets too overwhelming and I'm sure the police force would love to have an extra hand around. Or even two of them.

How are things going back there anyway?

Jack was arrested and ported out, but he's back now and on the most wanted list. We just had a riot a couple of days ago and we're as shorthanded as ever.

So not that great.

Jack's on the most wanted? What the hell's he doing?

Zero's Children bought a low life detective named Stiles and had him plant a bomb at headquarters. We happened to raid their meeting place right before it was going to go off and Jack...he wounded him and then kept the paramedics away until he gave up the bomb's location. Maybe it wasn't right, but he saved a lot of lives. Unfortunately a lot of people didn't care about that part. They just cared he used "excessive" force on some creep who was trying to kill half the department.

[People like the Mayor. Oh yeah she's holding on to that grudge for a while.]

Can't speak for Sherlock, but I could definitely do with someone else in the city to help me keep an eye on him. Considering.

My contact on the police force has since been incarcerated, and the natives are growing restless. My power makes it impossible to appear as anything other than an import.
