About the new Alan Scott
I'm sorry but...what the hell?
They picked Dad? They erased Jennie, Damon, and myself...and picked Dad. Seriously?
Do those people that write the comics even know what they're doing anymore or have they all just given up on trying?

I can't blame her. About the only thing you can take heart in is that it's not main continuity? And maybe that Alan Scott being gay doesn't necessarily mean no children. Just...
You know, I'm not even going to try to figure it out. Backing away from the reboot seems the best idea.

They erased their main continuity for this stuff. I know but with this company I don't expect to get much. Especially considering that they made Dad my age.
Hopefully if enough of us ignore it, it will go away.

Couldn't they have just gone with us instead?

I kinda agree with her, there.

Either that or throwing darts at printouts of bad fanfiction and gluing it all together.

"I know I'm totally preaching to the converted here, but - fan fiction. It's all fan fiction at this point. Just..." She throws up her hands. "Pick your universe!"
"I mean, I would not love Dad any less if he decided he liked cock now, but I'm trying to make a sentence with the word 'Dad' and 'cock' and have the word 'not' in it. I fail."

"If this is how they implement things - you know, pick a few characters that aren't huge celebrity types and make all the changes to them, it would explain..." She has to pause and count on her fingers. "Just about everyone I think I know really personally."

[Well...this is odd. Him learning like this.]
Odd. There has always been a joke Ted said, about me liking a certain type of woman. Strange that this company changed things they made me the focus of.this...change.

[Shakes head]
And I am certain this Sam fellow is kind enough, but I am not interested in men.

[He chuckles a little.] I didn't think you were.

[Alans face becomes serious.]
That makes no sense any which way.
