My God decides nothing, only keeps a man to his word. As for a man's service, it has come to cost a great deal of money.

[Jaqen smiles at that, with a quirk of his eyebrow] You assume that a man's faith is a service, but it is not. I have but one God, and his name is Death. You could not pay me enough.

[Slightest raise of an eyebrow as she smiles back.] So should a man.

All faith are but services to gods. Why else would be set wars forth for, if not for believers?

And a funny thing about Death - he himself can be killed.

Wars are set forth by the lost and hopeful who want to believe that there is something more in the world, but in the end all is the same, the Red God takes what he wants, what he always gets.

[Another smile, the way a true believer smiles when they are sure that they know something another does not.]

To kill Death would be the purest end.

[It's like finding a stranger out in the streets in the middle of a downpour and realizing you have the same type of briefcase, the one with the faulty latch; or getting on a bus and seeing a college student reading your favorite novel; or slipping your hand into a well-worn glove your grandmother passed down to you on her death bed.
