How long has it been? (there's a bitter bite to his words, though all spoken with a soft, even affectionate, grin.  he's been ignored far too long.) I had been thinking that we were done with these games.  Remember?

(he gives a sharp laugh, but it's quick to die down.) I remember.  I remember everything, but... (a slight inclination of his head.) that isn't the point, is it?  This is supposed to be my new beginning, my clean slate.

Hah.  It's not going to stay that way for long.

(kadaj narrows his eyes, giving the animal a sneer, mildly annoyed. no distance is safe when near someone as volatile as the remnant, but he isn't about to waste his energy on some animal.)

(he gives a dark chuckle) I enjoy the company of others as much as any other. (though they do not enjoy it as much as he does.)

I'm afraid that's just not the type of challenge I would enjoy. (where would the excitement be, after all?)

(he gives a lazy shrug of his shoulders, completely unfazed.) Everyone is.
