A few things... The "Gods" or whatever they are say we need to fix whatever's wrong with the city or that world a bunch of others will be destroyed. They said that we'll be returned to the moment we left whatever world we were in before once it's done with too, pretty sure they're telling the truth there at least. Everyone loses any special power they had before too, but we get new ones instead.
