Voice testing; On decisions between future games
Now, now. Don't flake out on me, huh? You promised that when the others got settled, and you got this break, it'd be my turn.
Hey, you're the one that said it. And I'm not picky on places to end up, don't get me wrong. But uh...not sure about this user city you're thinking about. Too many problems, and I'm just one program.
But this glitched out other-Grid? Now that's just ridiculous. I'd go nuts in under a microcycle, just looking around at all that work undone.
You can do better. Come on, just let me do the choosing, and we'll get along just fine.
Now get me that list, and be quiet for a little bit.

Pretty presumptuous, don't you think?

You sent your own guards out to plant bombs in both Basic and ISO facilities, then tried to blame the ISOs for your own terrorist acts to discredit them.
You unleashed not one but two viruses onto the Grid, one in the Sea and one of the more... mobile variety, both of which we now have to deal with, so thanks for that. And let's not forget that the latter of the two derezzed and infected many of your own people before he was finally taken out by the guy you tried to blame your next action on.
You tried to kill our Creator, and nearly succeeded in derezzing Tron when he tried to stop you.
You reprogrammed Tron without his consent and turned him into your enforcer, Rinzler. You forced him to derezz what had to be thousands of innocent programs both in the games- which you had made deadly again- and outside of them.
Any of the unfortunate programs you and your forces captured that didn't get thrown into the games to derezz you had reprogrammed in a similar manner to Tron, until there were almost as many, if not more enslaved programs on the grid than ones who could still think for themselves.
You tried to erase all data related to ISOs from the archives. I say 'tried', because you clearly aren't as thorough as I am when it comes to going through data. That's about the only thing that I'm grateful you messed up.
As your 'glorious' reign went on, you left everything on the Grid outside of Tron City to cumble. And eventually, once you it into your processor that invading the User World and 'perfecting' it like you had the Grid was the way to go, you started leaving Tron City's outer sectors to degrade as well.
Not that they were needed by that point, of course, with so many programs derezzed or 'rectified'. I'm not certain if it's even possible to come up with an exact count of the derezzed or otherwise incapacitated programs, but the Grid is now trying to function minus between half and 2/3 of it's original population, thanks to you. And that's not even counting the ISOs you had slaughtered during the Purge.
Then Flynn's son arrives. You nearly kill him more than once, before deciding that with the portal open it's finally time to go through with your plan to take the User World by force. You then almost kill Flynn and his son again before Tron manages to break free of his Rinzler reprogramming long enough to stop you.
Then you managed to steal Tron's spare baton and get to the portal and confront Flynn, forcing him to have to initiate reintegration to prevent you from both harming his son and enacting your bit-brained invasion plan. Near as anyone can tell, the energy of the reintegration is what altered the portal in the first place, which, while a very good thing, and the only reason I'm standing here instead of still derezzed, is a significant factor in the chaos you mentioned.
So yes, the Free Grid is a damaged, glitchy mess that's stuggling to rebuild itself, both structurally and culturally. But it wouldn't need to rebuild itself if it hadn't been half-destroyed in the first place. And given the facts I've uncovered since I got there, it's pretty clear who's responsible for that.
Bottom line, you royally glitched things up, brother, even worse than the MCP did to the old Encom system. Believe me, I know; I was there. And now the Free Grid has to deal with the aftermath, and try to clean up the mess you made in the name of 'perfecting' things.
So yeah, maybe it is presumptous. But it's also true.

He could also wheedle, or retort, or just, you know, walk away. But...well...couple of questions first. ]
Alright. I got one question for you that might help sort some of this out.
What's your primary directive? I don't mean what you're keeping busy with, or what you think might please Flynn, or anything else. You're a Basic, like me, so let's go back to basics.
What is it you were written, specifically, to do?

At the question, have a somewhat suspicious eyebrow raise. Clearly Clu has an inkling of where this is probably leading, but he sees no reason not to give an honest, and typically detailed, answer.]
I already told you, I'm a hacking program. More precisely, a multi-function independant hacking program with a broad compatibility base. Specific tasks vary, but general parramaters are to enter a system, slip past system security, learn the new system as required, perform any mission-specific hacking functions, slip past system security again, and get out of the system to go report back to my User. All hopefully without getting caught. Physical confrontations to be avoided unless necessary. If they are necessary, priority is escape, withdraw, and report back for new instructions.
As far as specific hacking capabilities, I can alter and manipulate to varying degrees any code or data that I can find and get access to; and I haven't run into any yet that I can't get access to, with sufficient time and effort. I also have a data retrieval function, which was what my final mission before my derezzing involved, permissions and capabilities to pilot a modified game tank, specialized scanners to help detect hidden files or ghost drives, and I'm capable of coordinating with my Bit to enhance these functions.
