Newsflesh; homeless - SPOILERS FOR BLACKOUT
Woah, okay, so I know you're excited about having the third book out and everything. It took you all of six and a half hours to plow through that - I think you put George to shame for speed reading on that count.
But seriously, dude, you need to read through the book at least once more, and wait a month or so. I mean, shit, you've gotta give people a chance to read at a less-than-insanely-obsessed pace.
...Though if you want to take me back to Chicago, I wouldn't argue. I think I'm in a much better place, psychologically-speaking, and I'm kind of worried how George is doing since I disappeared.

[
Or 97% her fault, the mun says like a horrible person.]I've actually been quite restrained on the explosion front. You'd be proud. And no one tried to carpet-bomb me, either.

[ Paranoia, thy name is George. ...for damn good reason. ]
The fact that we need to specifically rule out carpet-bombing these days does not reassure me. But yes, I am very proud. Congratulations on your restraint... though I can't say I'd have minded a few more explosions if it meant I got to see you sooner.

Seattle was definitely better.

Though maybe I do owe them a thank you card or something. It would probably end in "you fucking bastards", but still. I'd have hated to have to go to Florida just to grab you by the ear and drag you back to sanity. Not my idea of a vacation.

It's not really snappy, to be fair, but it'd feel good.

[ And now he'll wait just slightly nervously for her to react to that jab. Is it funny yet? Will it ever be funny? He must know! ]
Anyway, being dead didn't put you off your sarcasm and biting wit at all, so...

So... I guess you have a point. Either we deserve each other, or no one else would ever put up with us.

Okay, well, I'm not in a "having a constant and spiraling downward psychotic break" place anymore.

[That might be an understatement, Buffy.]
Congrats on getting George back, by the way. I mean, I'm not even sure if that's how you, you know, congratulate someone on having their dead adoptive sister back from being dead, but whatever. Congrats.

It's not the, uh... most common sentiment Hallmark's ever produced, but it works. I honestly didn't do anything, though, she's the one who, y'know. Stuck it out at the CDC and then blew the place up.
...It's good to see you, by the way.

...sorry I wasn't there to help.

[ Have a light shoulder-punch Buffster - he's still a little... not himself, even if he's getting better about it. Otherwise he'd hug her. ]
Hey, it's not your fault. You got into some deep shit, but however we look at all that, you were still murdered, so I'm going to blame Tate and the CDC bastards for you not being there to help.

I'm glad I could at least do something, even if it was, well. Y'know.
