It takes a while to master. I've been taught by the Air Nomad monks since I was a kid, but you shouldn't feel bad if you can't get it right away. Just keep trying!

You... and I are the Avatar, no matter what world we're in, bending powers or not. Powers or not, it's our duty to help out people in anyway we can, right?

Of course. Helping people is what we do but... [Man, admitting that she's not sure how much help she'd be to people sans bending just sounds really pathetic. So... let's not go there just yet.]

I'm sure there are other places we can be of help in, sure! I hear there's many of these "games" going around. There's bound to be spot open for one of us.

That's a pretty good attitude to have about it. [Oh hai Korra, meet your waterbending teacher, currently on the run from the law over there.] If you like exploring new places then you'll probably enjoy Johto and Kanto. The only other real downside is our bending not working.

About that... I mean, judging from what you said, you're a bender just like me: is it that difficult not being able to use our bending?

It's not hard to get by at all, actually, it's just strange to get used to not having it at first. Between our Pokemon and friends I think life in Johto is actually pretty pleasant.

Huh. When you put it that way, I don't see how the place could be all that bad. It's just... Bending's so much a part of who I am and my identity, I'm still trying to get over that thought.

I know what you mean. It definitely takes getting used to. Sokka had plenty to say about it making us even, too. [Eye roll.] Personally I tried focusing on getting back home. Somehow without realizing it the bonds that I made with my Pokemon and other people kind of started to fill in the gap.

[Ah, though-- clarification --] I mean, don't get me wrong, I really do still miss it, but there's so much to do, see, and learn here that as long as you remember that it's not permanent it isn't the worst thing in the world, either. I think at least. [At least it's not like what Amon does to people. 8|]

Sokka? You mean, Katara's older brother? He's in there, too?

Not permanent... Whew! That's a relief! Sounds like it's something to get used to, then. [ Definitely not like Amon. Less creepy and High Octane Nightmare Fuel. That's definitely a plus. ]

[ At this, she gives a formal bow. Her old master! ]

[And now she's REALLY surprised, but not in the bad way. From the South? She's not encountered anyone from her FUTURE in game before.]

From the... Southern tribe? Then you're from my future? [LKJSADFAS OH, UH, UH, RIGHT. She bows as well, definitely blushing a bit now, because it's kind of an honor to be told it's an honor to meet her, honestly ~~Zuko would be all over this much honor~~.] It's so good to meet you, too, Korra! I always hoped that we'd be able to restore the bender population in the South after the war!

And did you ever! Both of my parents are waterbenders - heck, you're even my waterbender master! You helped me complete my waterbender training as the Avatar!

[ The excitement of seeing her old master's younger self... can you feel it. ]

[SHE CAN FEEL IT. She can feel it so well that it's getting into her as well!

And whoah. Training TWO Avatars in her lifetime that's kind of a humbling thought. She looks genuinely touched and awed by this news.]

You're the new Avatar? [THRILLED AND IMPRESSED KATARA IS THRILLED AND IMPRESSED. And also there is this strange sense of something she's not sure of, because that means that she outlives Aang and somehow this is as sad as it is amazing because AANG'S REINCARNATION AND KORRA YOUR ENERGY IS INFECTIOUS.]

Wow, I can't believe it! I'm the one whose honored to meet you! [SORTA SPEECHLESS laskdfjasd] I'd love the chance to get to know you better!

Hah! I bet you will, whether in Johto or back in our own world!

[ Because Katara is, well, a lot of things to Korra, yes. And because it's been so long since she left the Southern Water Tribe for Republic City... Korra's gonna dash to Katara and give her a tight hug, just like their last hug. ]

[Katara is a little surprised at first, but she's not the type who has any aversion to open shows of affection, so Korra will get a tight squeeze back. In a way this isn't unfamiliar at all ~~especially since I imagine Korra is still taller than Katara~~.]

I can't lie, if you do end up coming to Johto, I'd be thrilled. It would be so amazing to have someone from home there, but I hope your mundane does whatever is best for you both.

[ Her grip loosens so she could pull away for a moment ~~yup, even when she's younger, Korra's just a few inches taller than the other girl. Wow.~~ She gives a grin. ]

If you're there, then I've got nothing to worry about. It'll just be like old times! ... well, for me, anyway. [ Have a bit of an embarrassed chuckle on that. ] And my mun has two other "muses" that she has in there, she says.
