This will end in trolling, laughter, and possibly being lectured by Lois.
I've gotta hand it to you-- technology really has gotten pretty cool in the last twenty-odd years. New ways to keep in touch, spread news, and do research. I'd like to check it out more, but I'm not going to find a lead out here and I'm on a deadline. Besides, my partner will kill me if I up and vanish on her again.

[How does she know his Kryptonian name wtf.] Sorry, but I don't think we've met before. Clark Kent, reporter for the Daily Planet.

[Sorry, she's out to confuse you pretty much. Not about to drop the super family bomb on him yet!] Right, I'm sorry. Call me... Linda. It's nice to meet you, Mr. Kent.

[W-well not being the last Kryptonian ever would be good but really weird news.] And you, Linda. I don't suppose you have any tips on how to get me to convince my mun to send me back?

[She laughs a little bit, if in a resigned sort of way.] None that ever worked...

Oh god... I <3 U....
Though I am curious. Why can you not find a 'lead' here? I thought law enforcement officers used technology to find leads all the time?
[Whoops, she thinks he's a police officer of some sort...]
♥
[Common mistake-- he and Lois practically are police officers.]

The question still applies however... Why not do you not seek your 'lead' here? Surely there must be something here of use to you.

Your paper probably also does not want to hear about aliens, alternate dimensions, intersecting timelines and what not either... I can see where you would have some trouble then.

I think it's starting to get on Lois' nerves though. [Which...is kind of funny because getting on Lois' nerves is always funny. And dangerous. Mostly dangerous.]

Are you trying to freak me out or something?

What...exactly did I do?

I hope you at least make it up to her in other ways.

I hope the man in your life does the same.

I mean...I've gotten used to you and breaking in someone else would take time. And I finally got you to know exactly how I take my coffee..and you're like a walking encyclopedia, dictionary and thesaurus rolled into one so...
Just..don't take off any time soon. I just got used to liking having you around.

So I wouldn't dream of leaving. I don't take being partners lightly either.

I mean if I have to have a partner, which I don't! But Perry thinks we work well together and I've gotten used to you...and sometimes your instincts are good. [It's hard for her to say nice things, sob]

Thanks...I think.

Look, Clark.. I know I'm not always the easiest person in the world to work with, or even get alone with. But you understand me, you get that I am the way and am and that I have to do all these things I do. I guess what I mean is that I wouldn't want another partner, no one else would ever be you.
