There is only one Goblin King. I can at least assure you of that.

Doesn't that go against the whole "worlds atop worlds" theory?

Not really. There are pantheons of gods in each world. The Norse, the Greek, the Roman, the Judeo-Christian, the Hindu, the Egyptian, and then there are all of the nature gods and spirits in the tribal African cultures, so many -- but there is only one Goblin King. In another world, certainly, there may be another Goblin King, but there is only ever one per world.
