On hell training sessions, both IC and in real life

While I am pleased that you are keeping your training up, Miss Mun, the extremes you're taking it to this weekend may be a bit much for you. However, now that you've set your mind to it, I will make sure you stick with it. There's no going back now. I hold you to the same standards I held the group I took to the forest this week, if not more.

[A slight sigh. This is going to be a hell of a week.]

Don't go breaking yourself now, no matter how excited you are to learn how to use the same weapons I do. I don't think I've ever seen anyone quite as eager as you to drill the basics of her martial arts for hours on end before; channel that energy appropriately now. You have people relying on you who need you back in one piece.

Miss Mun, I give you 83 points for spirit, but 12 for impatience. Be more mindful of that in the future.

Is there really that much to be gained from such an extreme form of training though?

If they're wise enough to listen up and actually pay attention, a lot can be gained. It forces them to push past their limits and discover their truest potential.

I'm just hoping she doesn't give up and be unable to call her bluff. How embarrassing would that be? Tch.

Is it really worth it though? If the same progress can be made through regular training, what's the point in rushing?

She claims there's a lot of advanced material to be covered. Something about testing herself and proving her worth for it. You know how those kids get.

Proving herself? Well. I guess I can see the appeal in that then. [After all Reisen is always trying to prove herself to her Master and the Princess.] Seems like there should be an easier way to do it though then going through such a course.

Eh, it's one of those things everyone in their youth goes through. We all have a stubborn, loud phase, and she just needs to have it worked out of her and turned into discipline if she expects to gain further rank.

It's understandable but it's still frustrating to watch; not many succeed at keeping their word and come out looking nothing more than a braggart.

Well so long as she's fine in the end, is there really anything wrong with that?

I'm just hoping she can balance all her other priorities with this. Exciting as it may be, other aspects of life and fighting exist beyond physical exertion. She'll be useless exhausted and uneducated.

Mmm, where my mun sent me is full of many undisciplined folk of many races and ages. It's become my job for well over a year now there to help them learn how to fight and survive, as we once did.

Indeed. Many seek my expertise now, and I help them grow to accept themselves and grow strong. It has me busier than I've been in centuries. Some even remind me of when we trained.

[A slight hesitation and sad sigh. This is hard to admit.]

...What I can remember of us, that is. The vile castle she sent me to is trying its damnedest to destroy that.

At least we're not alone there. You and I both know isolation only leads to trouble. It does it to everyone; least I can do is help them to help me find a way out. They've been awfully understanding, all things given.

You should go, if she does. You deserve your freedom and a chance to learn. Even someone as old as I am is still learning where I got sent.

My mun-person is upset about an event in some camp place where people go around naked for one day is over. Nowa thinks it's weird.

Great, now that idea's got my mun snickering and talking about how "perfect" that would be for us. I keep telling her and everyone else, this is conservative elf wear, made for ease of movement in combat.

[She's trying not to think about it herself but blushes a bit, lowering her face onto her head]

You think they'd have some manners by now. 3 points for modesty on their behalf!
